Final Countdown!

This is the only troll OCG deck I ever see top! Why aren't there other troll decks topping like this? YCS events are full of them!

KyuRenjo (guest) - 2012/06/04 05:41

maybe.... because it is auto and boring? :x

re:

Pretty much. When against burn or stall, I can't help but think my opp. is a tool.
belgian Blue (guest) - 2012/06/04 16:07

@mcjazzman : probably because you are the actual tool who doesn't understand that at least its less boring than your dino rabbit or chaos dragon deck ...
Weaklings (guest) - 2012/06/05 10:32

Challenge?

Do you know that these decks need a bit of skill, memory, luck, and wise use of resources to pilot them correctly? Do you think everyone who is handed an empty jar or exodia deck would know how to play the cards in the correct order? It's not as auto-pilot as you think.
The win rate is not guarantueed but it is indeed high. These fun decks are entertaining to watch. Oh wait, meta decks have a high win rate too! People don't necessarily enjoy seeing the same competitive cookie cutters dominating the field because it would be decided by which duelist spends more on the hobby.

Have you ever entered each duel feeling that is a challenge to face and defeat any type of deck? That's the mentally and attitude you should have when you walk into any tournament big or small. If you don't like challenges, then you might as well have money dictate your win/loss ratio.

Did you see the Final Countdown deck in YCS Philadelpha? Undefeated in swiss because he was very clever with his build and made good side deck choices. People like creativity because it helps us grow as duelists. So who wouldn't want to root for the underdog?

Tyler Tabman's article said:
"You’re always trying to get the edge on your opponent when you go into an event. Nobody goes into an event thinking “How can I beat my opponents successfully while still giving them a fair chance?” Triple Gateway sams, cat sabers, fish OTK and so on are all examples of decks that take almost no interaction with the opponent maybe 50% of the time. Just because my win condition isn’t attacking, doesn’t mean my deck is any more ‘unfair’ then any of the ones I listed."

Couldn't have said it any better! He forgot to mention Infernities when they went crazy.
