Wouldn't matter as Magician's Ape can't be Special Summoned.

Dan seems to have confirmed that the TF4 versions of the promos are, indeed, the ACTUAL stats/effects of them given Duel Transer was initially expected to come out around the same time TF4 did, but got unexpectedly delayed. And all the effects match pretty much exactly so far, so I'd expect the same of Magician's Ape.

Once per turn, while this card is in face-up Attack Position, you can send 1 monster from your hand to the Graveyard and select 1 face-up Defense Position monster your opponent controls. Take control of the selected monster until the End Phase of this turn. It cannot change its battle position this turn.
