Nobody said there would be a new Extra Deck monster category. It says Pendulum Summon which does not mean a new sub-catergory of cards. If there are new cards they could be like Ritual monsters and be the second special monster group to reside in the Main Deck. Not much info has been revealed for ARC-V as of yet so please can we all have patience. The only thing that seems obvious is the new Action Duels with touchable Solid Visions. This could mean the players with literally duel and fight each other at the same time as their monsters.

That's why I said looks like. A majority of Special Summons with different names are from the Extra Deck (Synchros, Exceeds, and Fusions) compared to the Ritual Summon that can be placed in the deck so forgive my assumption. The game is only getting old because most people just complain about the game is, just bash other people's opinions, or just take this game so seriously and competitively almost all of the time

So because I explained something about the franchise, that makes me a troll. Alright I'm tired of being called a troll for answering questions, giving advice, and helping people understand concepts. If being a good and just person is a negative, then I'm done with this. Learn that helping others does not make you a troll. Getting others excited about something and then screwing them over about it in the end is being a troll. By the way, I am not one of those "false fans" that complain about the franchise no matter what. I am one of the true fans who has been with the franchise since the start and love everything about it. All I said was that Pendulum Summon does not mean a new Special Monster sub-category will be made. Just like Advance Summon for example, is just Releasing weaker monsters to bring out higher level monsters which are just Normal or Effect monsters. But no such cards as Advance Monsters were made because it started as Tribute Summon. Not every kind of new words for Summoning means a new group of cards. So sorry if it sounded like I was trolling when I have not done such on any of my comments and have defended and gave my time to help if needed for even answering simple questions.

I thought I'd explain why I said that the game is getting old. When 5ds started they introduced synchros, which were an interesting addition to the game. When Zexal started they gave us Exceeds which while they contradicted nearly every previous game mechanic, I kept an open mind and they were actually ok. However virtually all sets since their release have seemed to be focused on either the Rank up series, or giving an evolution to Utopia and/or Galaxy Eyes. What they should be doing is supporting more of the old decks(like they did in primal origin), and get out of the mentality that every new season needs a new form of summoning (granted we don't know what pendulum summon is, but it still seems like a bit much). I was reluctant to completely give up on Yu-gi-oh!, because it was a lot of fun for many years, but I feel it's getting out of hand and it's not the game it used to be.

Anonymous - I think it's the way you type your responses; to be honest they kind of rub off like a know-it-all-ish by the whole helping people comment. "Pendulum Summon does not mean a new Special Monster sub-category will be made" was all that needed to be said and not "Nobody said there would be a new Extra Deck monster category". That comment is meant for a "Hey guys look at these new Extra Deck Monsters" so hence I thought you were trolling lol. Tribute summon is the only Summon we have without a Special Monster category. Normal Monster (Yellow) Effect Monsters (Orange) Rituals (Blue) Fusions (Violet) Synchros (White) Exceeds (Black Space) are the monster categories and is the way I see it from a player perspective. The last two new Summons have been from the Extra Deck so that's why I said "Looks like another Extra Deck Concept". You can also be right that it can be like a Tribute Summon but the fact is we both don't know or work for Konami.

That Guy - I can see where you're coming from now. I agree Primal Origin was a great set in that regard of boosting older archetypes. I do have to agree with you the game is getting stale. I don't think it's the XYZ/Synchro eras but the power creep and how they build certain decks.I do agree they push certain cards a lot and XYZ's more than the rest. The problem is each deck has the same power combo to win a game and you have to draw certain cards to answer them or play the cards you have at the appropriate time and hope they don't have a follow-up. Back in the day when I started (Invasion of Chaos) there were broken decks but they could be answered with originality and strategy. It required something called set up which is irrelevant now because we have 50 ways to search our power combos. Players draw their rush combos immediately instead of the turns it used to take to set-up. I just think strategy has been taken out of the game by search cards or even broken power cards. There's still thinking involved but now I know a players deck most of the time and know just about their every move based on a combo that repeats every turn or what's in their Graveyard. I miss the days where I would face a deck and have to guess their next move (granted there still were auto-pilot decks back then). Just how I see the game now I still have fun but only with decks I put my own spin on. I get bored otherwise.

I didn't mean to be a know-it-all, I just pay attention to every detail about things. I now know I have to stay calm even when people show that they aren't sure about something. Sometimes wording on a text can sound that way it's more difficult to grasp the emotions and even impossible to understand body language from a set of letters. Yugioh problems

I have to agree, without building something on my own i could not enjoy the game at all.

Stellar monsters: I expected more than that. How lame are these cards? Make yourself ready for Constellar level 4 spamming (actually that wont change somthing, every Archtype does that) ... These type doesnt need more Monsters who are just about more spamming rather they should decrease Constellar Sombre to 1 along with his Dark Brother and Wolfbark.

Forbidden list improvement-->how about conditional bans: Like you are not allowed to play Brionac, Dragon of the ice Barrier if you play Mermails/Atlantian.

How about making good Syncro and Tuner monsters or to bring back the ones from the forbidden list.

Extra deck-> 15 is fine. Increasing space decreases skill

Originality makes the game fun. Otherwise one is just part of the crowd in my eyes.

Satella monsters are unfair. They remind me of Inzektors (same plays over and over minus the popping stuff)

Brionac is just a dumb dumb card. Not only Atlantean/Mermail decks win from it granted it was the the deck that pushed that card's limits the most. Conditional bans aren't really appealing to me granted most of the cards that are banned are pretty generic. Some rule changes like the Dark Strike Fighter rule would be better in my opinion. (Dark Strike Fighter rule was a little too extreme once per turn would have been fine).

Making more synchro and tuner monsters is a good thought. Not a fan of severe power creep to bring back old ones.

Extra Deck 15 is perfect although the ability to structure a deck around a concept to bring out certain cards to gain advantage (without the luck factor of having to draw them) is skilled but at the same time not skilled. Synchros and XYZs are too easy to bring out being the reason.

Archfiend Eater and Uranus can Special Summon themselves, right? Well, if the Wiki's translations of these cards proves to be correct, then the numbers before these effects will prove that Summoning methods like these are effects. Dark Ruler Ha Des and similar cards are gonna have a field day.

To be honest to me it indicates how many separate effects/conditions there are to the respective cards. Kind of how Yugioh Wikia states that each monster is a continuous, condition, trigger, or ignition effect. No official rule change information has been released besides the Pendulum Summoning Methods.

Only 5 Pendulum Monsters? That's disappointing. The only useful Pendulum Monster is see is Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon. I hope the next pack will have more then just 5 Pendulum Monster.

The only useful Pendulum Monster "I see" is Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon. Not "is see" if you were wondering.
