slight error in decklist

in the spell line up, there should only be 2 Book Of Life... :)

AGITO (guest) - 2009/11/28 18:53 - link

Can't wait for the top 8 decks that will be used at our year-end event.. I'm so curious to know... :D

tr_trainer (guest) - 2009/11/28 22:28 - link

so wonderful

to see these decks in this beautiful builds, instead of the bad USA or japanese builds. the chaoses are good, the gb is stable, the dragons are great, and the zombie is wonderful to see.

I really hope more philipines' tournament top 8 decks will be brought to our intention.

on behalf of the Israeli TCG community :)
DarkDragonphoenix (guest) - 2009/12/03 19:19 - link

@trtrainer

Just because you can't build decks in Philippine? Ok, thats a bit hard, but I mean, these decks are innovative, but they can't come up at a World Championship, because too much OCG onlys are used, and, it's staPle, not staBle-.-
helpoemer (guest) - 2009/11/29 00:57 - link

no Ls?

are there no LS player's in your tournament?

EternalTruth - 2009/11/29 02:26 - link

Might have been hated out by most of the decks. The tournament appears to have been running on some sort of Hybrid Format by the Virtue of Swallow's Nest (not yet printed in the OCG) and the Natural Monsters (not yet printed in the TCG).
┼chunky┼ (guest) - 2009/11/29 03:17 - link

Lightsworns

currently,we have around 4players sporting LS,unfortunately in this event only 1 played and was unlucky to make it to top 8...

don't worry, this December 19,we will have our Philippine Championship, and the player turn out there will be higher, and i think all of them will play

DarkScytheQueen (guest) - 2009/11/29 03:43 - link

^___^

The reason why we're just able to post this now is that the players of our country were under fear of heavy flaming and netdecking that is regular occurence here. At least for now, I'm glad that the others on this site see the beauty in these highly original decks. ^___^ At least now you don't see a multitude of the same deck over and over again.

P.S.: For those not fluent in FIlipino, 'Magpakailanman' means 'Forever'.

XxDestiny_MolinxX (guest) - 2009/11/29 04:11 - link

No LS cus we kwel lyk3 that

i lyke all random deck

it make them happy to play random

why yew want to see same deck win again and again is that bored

im glad they make the deck play for fun....XD

card to play have fun not to be serious on card

i want kid and adult have fun to ppl...XD

btw for special edition for new set

they should put a gud card so make kid have fun with it too.XD

Jingrock (guest) - 2009/11/29 05:18 - link

Are Filipinos too poor to afford good blackwing builds?

No vayu but running triple oppressions?
I guess good job for them not taking full advantage of oppression

reckless greeds in bw?? Priestess ohm to try and emulate DSF but fail?

damn really bad builds
especially the all star build with gb ls bw

running supervis in anything other than plants is just silly
ugh running Cyber Dragon over a 2nd test tiger? rfdd in dimensional glads is basically telling everyone you're terrible and cant keep your glads out of the gy

this top 8 is just pretty much a plethora of fail
very few stable builds

Foranku (guest) - 2009/11/29 05:57 - link

Fail?

what do you mean fail? sure you won't be seing builds like that make sjcs, but if you like to totally net deck and like to waste 200 dollars worth on cardboard thinking about winning a kid's game, you sir, Fail. people here play for fun and not for keeps like hustlers.
wowowee (guest) - 2009/11/29 06:06 - link

Nice cop out Foranku

Good to see youngsters using the old strawman argument because they don't know any better.

It's possible to play for fun AND be good. I guess you can keep telling yourself that it;'s okay they're so terrible because "it's just for fun hurr"

Drop the grade school arguments and grow up
petqwe (guest) - 2009/11/29 11:51 - link

Yes Jingrock you fail
Palakpakin (guest) - 2009/11/29 05:25 - link

Original but not necessarily good

Some really sub par choices were made in deck making here.

DarkScytheQueen (guest) - 2009/11/29 11:56 - link

Shows what you know

See, here's the problem with the trashers here. They see a deck that looks weird, and the they dismiss it as trash.

Take a leap of faith and create a deck for the heck of it. You'd be surprised how well these perform.
player (guest) - 2009/11/29 06:54 - link

You just don't get it huh?

I will not argue with you in saying that most of us here do not have the means to buy the really good and expensive cards. But for your basic information, there are also a LOT of us who have good cards and decks. Just because what you see here does not flaunt the decks you guys know does not necessarily mean that we play 'subpar'. Heck, we might even be better than you.

Before judging other people's decks, you should know why they built it as it is first. For your information Jingsuck, these players have the cards you think they lack. They just did not use them for innovative and new reasons. We are tired of using netdecked builds, and we are especially tired of people like you (who I am assuming only know netdecks). Telling us to grow up, whatever. You just don't see the bigger picture huh?

WOWOWEE (guest) - 2009/11/29 07:53 - link

WOWOWEE ALL DAY EVERYDAY

"Heck, we might even be better than you."
Very much doubt that considering the card choices these decks have made.

"They just did not use them for innovative and new reasons."
New and innovative but still not the optimal card choice

"We are tired of using netdecked builds"
oh great its the whole "boo netdeck sucks" argument that every edgy new player uses to justify their bad tech choices. Well fyi netdecking is not a bad thing to do. Netdecks are there because they have the optimal build. At the same time though I applaud actual new and innovative decks like the dark simorgh/fortune lady build ran in the recent sjc. Not only does it work but it's also completely innovative not like these basic deck builds you guys have with random bad techs and you think suddenly you're on the forefront of innovation.

I'll listen to your justifications of certain card techs and maybe i'll change my opinion about this top 8 list. Go ahead and explain to me the odd card choices that Jingrock pointed out.

but until then I'll just hope that your guy's champion list isn't so disappointing
TheReaver (guest) - 2009/11/29 09:19 - link

FYI: WOWOWEE

the reason why you are netdecking is because a duelist posted his decklist on the net. a deck which he created WITHOUT LOOKING or COPYING SOMEBODY ELSE'S BUILD...

"Netdecks are there because they have the optimal build."
"Not only does it work but it's also completely innovative not like these basic deck builds you guys have with random bad techs and you think suddenly you're on the forefront of innovation."
IT'S BECAUSE YOU CAN'T THINK OF YOUR OWN BUILD! that is why you netdeck... lol!
dingo (guest) - 2009/11/29 18:52 - link

actually...

i have to agree with wowowee, his arguments are solid, though my opinion of the decklists isn't nearly as negative. afterall, different card available=different meta, and personally i don't know anything about the amount of players, availability of cards, tournament size, etc.

netdecking is finding the optimal build, no one said you had to run the optimal build, you're jus looking for a deck design that has proven itself, the point in being to learn why it was the optimal build, why decisions you might be mulling over were made. you might not even be running ls, but you might netdeck it and play against it/play it to understand certain aspects. innovation can only be achieved thru an understanding of what is currently in the meta and why it is successful. the only arguments against involve morals and "originality", very bad arguments. if you feel good telling yourself you're idea is original, good for you, chances are you jus aren't looking hard enuff.

what happens if i've never seen any decklists before, i put together a deck based on what i find works optimal, and it turns out to be near exact a build that jus won "x major tourn", am i a netdecker or is it that we both agree that this is the optimal build and came to the same results b/c it in fact, is the optimal build? im not going to let others morals dictate what i play.

the builds are strange, but thats what i like, they're coming from another angle and place. i thought ohm was a clever idea, ultimate offering could be a nice addition, summon, search your next summon, tribute off with ohm.

and yep im gonna netdeck, take what aspects work in my place and adapt them to my angle, why? b/c its fun and i don't go around trying to be self-righteous with my "original" designs. jus try and stop meh muah hahahahaha..
TheReaver (guest) - 2009/11/29 09:12 - link

Just as I have expected...

someone thrasing the decklist of your top duelists. Hey, if you guys have nothing good to say, keep it to yourselves. If anyone knows how to play those decks, its the duelists themselves who created it. Anyways, since you're just gonna copy those decks, why don't you give it a try? Then you can eat your words and go home to your momma crying... lol!

helpoemer (guest) - 2009/11/29 10:14 - link

@helpoemer

hmmm I think you do not know how to run the bull drago zombie that is why you are crticizing the supervis there
┼chunky┼ (guest) - 2009/11/29 15:16 - link

SUPERVIS not good in zombies?!

to the one who said supervis is for plant decks only...dude...where have you left your brain??? if gigaplant benefits from it, why won't il blud???

give me all the reasons why you're saying supervis is not good on zombies and i'll try my best to justify every argument you throw at me...

because right now, i think you're just one of those netdeckers who don't even try to understand how decks are built...

Epic (guest) - 2009/11/29 17:07 - link

Nice deck

But why u don't use Hidden Armory??
WOWOWEE (guest) - 2009/11/29 19:48 - link

WOWOWEE ALL DAY EVERYDAY!!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

It's very simple. Gigapant is the optimum choice for supervis; so running supervis in anything else, causes it to be sub optimum.

searcher monsters are on the same level since zombies have really nice floaters but lonefire blossom gives plants that on command ability to generate first turn setups.

Compare gy targets between the two. Nettles and copyplant give a far wider range of options than the lone plaguespreader can.

Plant decks thanks to mystic tomato can still utilize allure of darkness

gigaplant decks can abuse powertool's (thanks copy plant!) equip searching ability for instant pluses due to the 6-7 equip spells they can utilize to swarm the field.

My MAIN POINT is that you would have been better suited to run a destiny engine instead of il blud and supervis because they don't reap the benefits form supervis as well as gigaplant does.

Now i know you're going to say "well i don't care about optimum builds i just play for fun so i dont care there!" and you know what that's cool. It's just really surprising to see bad techs be heralded as great when really they're just that... bad techs being played for fun.

Just to cover all my bases I'm just going to say that yes I know your deck isn't bludvis but i am talking about your supervis tech.
player (guest) - 2009/11/29 17:34 - link

Sigh (why do we even have to explain)

Let me explain Supervis in a simple-but-hard-for-you-to-understand scenario: Player has an Il Blud on the field and Zombie Carrier in the graveyard. He activates Supervis, special summons Zombie Carrier, then synchros. Once Supervis hits the gyard, he special summons Il Blud, normal summon it, and ssummon Zombie Carrier again then synchros. Two level 8 synchros using only 3 cards. Need more? Just ask.

Priestess Ohm can be used to send Vayu material to the gyard while inflicting 800 dmg to the opponent. It can also tribute itself for the 5th DARK monster for Dark Creator, or 3rd for DAD. And if you notice, he runs 3 Black Lance, 3 Black Whirlwind, and 1 Swallow's Nest so inflicting 1600+ damage in a turn wont be hard. Wondering why Reckless Greed is there? Besides getting OTK-capable cards, the Priestess's effect can be maximized with it.

Dimensional Fissure and RftDD is there because of two things: preventing BW, LS, and Hopeless decks from doing their thing, while building his win condition at the same time. And don't even start arguing why CyDra is there: try looking at the decklists of the past world champions. See anything familiar?

You losers simply can't accept that there are people who 'think' better than you. (BTW, do you even know that word?) If these were the decklists posted in the Konami World Championship website, I'm pretty sure you'd be saying things totally different from what you've been blurting out. And if any one of you losers start using some of these cards for your decks, I will be really, really sorry for you.

WOWOWEE (guest) - 2009/11/29 20:16 - link

WOWOWEE ALL DAY EVERYDAY!!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

Like I said earlier Supervis is better suited for gigaplant and you're better off running D-hero engine over it since it gives you speed and your oh so awesome double synchros at the same time. Way to miss the point.

Priestess ohm breaks tempo and is really just a very slow implementation of DSF. Sacrificing tempo for a mere 800 every time you -1 yourself is just hilarious. On top of that you would have been better off running more control oriented cards (a third icarus, oppressions especially considering this top 8) than the faint chance of OTK with reckless greeds. FYI BWs otk just fine with the help of whirlwind.

Dimensional fissure is a common tech in glads and I have no qualms about it. Gbs can easily avoid hitting the gy so it benefits them greatly. The problem is RFTDD when the point of dimensional glads is to not hit the gy (unless you're bad) giving you NO targets for RFTDD.

I mean come on. Swallow's nest? really? a minus one for a mere chance to attack ro maybe a one for one if you chain it to smething else but still doesn't justify running it.
Sided bottomless trapholes in this format? like wth?
not running the third sirrocco? whyyyyyy
delta crow? the really bad card is mained? I mean it's only really useful against GB chariots and rogue decks so why not side it?
maining threatening roars over a third icarus and/or book of moon? Why? scared of GBs? as if the 3x oppression wasn't going to wreck them hard enough. And what, Icarus and book can't handle gbs like T roar can?
or maybe they're scared of BW/LS otks which waboku would be better suited for anyway

I mean I could just go on and on but you know what this probably won't go anywhere so I'll just wait for the next list that hopefully will actually introduce some interesting choices.

Very nice and original builds

First of all, I'd like to say that I liked very much those decks, they are something new and original and I believe that we haven't seen many original decks lately. So, I think that some people should apologise for talking trash about you and your decks. I'm a relatively new player so I've got to admit that I've been doing a lot of netdecking but now that I've seen your decks which are wonderful examples of creativity and originality I really hope that someday I'll be able to build my own original deck. Keep up the good work!!!

Trolls like WOWOWEE

trying to prove himself. he has closed his mind into "what is the 'OPTIMAL' build?" lololol talk about wowoweeewow he just told you the tempo of ohm priest. you have no experience with the decks so you have no place to judge. all you are is judging and analyzing the deck through theory and meta. just shut the fuc up and keep to yourself. those decks are up there for a reason ya loosah troll lolol
┼chunky┼ (guest) - 2009/11/30 02:54 - link

@WOWOWEE

i understand your point...really, i know that the DHERO engine is far more efficient than my Blud-Vis build.

and also you have stressed out the vast broadness of using Vis on Giga rather than Blud...

You are also correct that this is not the optimum build...i just want to stress out that zombies can also utilize this cards, but unlike in the decks you said (DHERO engine and Giga-Vis)...

at least, when you talk, it's not all trash...your points have substance and i appreciate that...

we just want to show innovations that people won't even dare using because it's sub-optimum :)

but i just can't help using blud-vis...

Genocide Seraph (guest) - 2009/11/30 04:28 - link

i really think the bludvis is good, rather good than destiny engine cause that deck, though has speed (like LS) is inconsistent and sometimes finding a very bad hand (destiny draw plus a zombie and no d-heros)

and i'm sure those BW builds are relying on their toolbox engine rather (and countering LS or other deck that special summons a lot) than the usual approach,
but seriously reckless greed??? you don't understand how RG really works (or rather abuse it)

love the allstar deck though not sure how it works lol
WOWOWEE (guest) - 2009/11/30 05:54 - link

WOWOWEE ALL DAY EVERYDAY!!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

Damn it Chunky!

You're making me feel bad about trolling. Don't be so modest with your replies.
LOLOLOLOL (guest) - 2009/11/30 06:46 - link

Seriously?

WOWOWEE has a point, Reckless shouldn't be in any Blackwing deck, it is just to slow. Take it out and leave room for something better. Besides when you swarm and push for an otk, they mirror force, you are screwed. Also if you have higher chances of an otk, than why run Priestess Ohm, it just has some crappy burn, that just doesn't measure up to DSF.

I still don't understand how 7th place got so high. It's a very mixed up deck. The closest thing I can associate it to is Gladwings. Common lyla? Are you just combining all the meta decks into one, because you didn't do such a great job. Though props to you on making it so high.

And about this issue on netdecking. Everyone netdecks. It is a way to learn how to run a type of deck, efficiently and effectively . Than you can go off and splash in your own cards. Though the cards must be reasonable, not jank that should be in the side deck. You also must consider the purpose of your deck. In the DimensionalGlads, the goal is easy, attack and don't remove glad beast. If you have that goal in mind, why run something that assumes that you will have remove from play cards(RftDD). It's a game finisher, but if you have no targets, than it has just become a dead draw.

It isn't all hate. I actually like Bloodvis. I actually couldn't see a better build for this version of the deck. Though like WOWOWEE said, it's not as consistent as Gigavis is. But keep up the good work.

to WOWOWEE and about 7th placer ALL STAR DECK

7th place:
actually, that's not his real deck...he wrote down senseless crap out of nowhere...actually he is using DHERO zombies with Gokuen...that's why he's on top...disregard that decklist...he did not post his real deck in our reg list, i dunno why...

@Wowowee:
what can i say? your point of argument has completely struck me...
my point is as simple as this:
-people wanna run DHERO ZOmbies? watch my deck and let it explode even without the standard set up :)
and actually, i'm more comfortable with running Blud Vis than DHERO...dunno why, i just like beating the norm :)
Sh0 (guest) - 2009/12/01 05:19 - link

why you care?

pls stop critisizing people's deck. they top for a reason. and wats with saying the deck is not good? if its not good it whldnt haf top. and people play those deck becus they love it. if people all wanna win. must well all just net deck. and we see bw and ll all day long. rmb we play yugioh for the fun of deck making and dueling. winning is not the top priority. people play wat they like to play. if u dun like den f off. cus u dun haf the originality to make those decks. making a original deck and top is the best prize we duelist can get.

Blud Vis vs Giga Vis

why am i running BLud over Giga?
1. i like zombies (senseless, but my main reason why i run it)

2. Blud is dark...Giga's earth...i'm running burials, i can use blud/gardna/zombie carrier as fodder for allure and end up having the materials in my GY if needed.

3. since Blud is dark, i can run Dark End Dragon. one itsy-bitsy lock i'm using is protect DED with necro gardnas and pinch out annoying monsters from the field...
very typical scenario:
opponent has JD, no other cards (spent up)...i have 1 DED and 1 stardust Dragon and Gardna in my GY...he can't use JD's effect...he is forced to attack, i negate it...next turn i send JD to the grave via DED...

4. many people run zombies...i can use blud to snatch their own zombie carrirer while i don't have it yet (at times, i deliberately use my opponent's carrier to conserve my resources). Giga can't snatch plants/insects from other graves...

as of now, i'm trying to make a Giga-Vis build...i'm just not that familiar with the plants that i should use...i'm trying to fit in 3 Pollinosis for this deck. more of a swarm-control deck...

i actually accept criticisms, as long as they have basis...and i use them to improve my viewpoint
Eleina (guest) - 2009/12/01 11:14 - link

hey if the guy wants to run zombies then you guys have no business about it right?

and i think this guys knock off BFs and LS decks in which you guys CAN'T do

and whats with that BF with the Ohms?????????? The other BF is better
┼chunky┼ (guest) - 2009/12/01 12:05 - link

my zombies are fine. next topic: BF Ohm

actually, it's not that bad, especially if there are 3 burial from a different dimension...it's (OHM) main purpose is to be a part of the SWARM->BURN tactics...attack then if there's still life left, burn with OHM via the swarm with vayu+BF for arms wing and armor master...too bad he doesn't have burials...but it was a good concept though...

swallow's nest is the one i'm having doubts with if you run 3...at one, it's a good tech and a potent surprise OTK, especially when you opponent did not drop Gorz...

i think someone featured the OHM DECK somewhere...
here's the link: http://duelinglegacy.blogspot.com/
it's not the best deck out there, but it shed some light for a very potent BF deck. a few more tweaks and who knows, maybe it'll work

Eleina (guest) - 2009/12/01 12:34 - link

How are you going to summon ohm with most of your Bfs needs to be normal summon?

vayu and no burial??? it's just a hard concept
J3T_Tlag (guest) - 2009/12/01 13:58 - link

wut

┼chunky┼ (guest) - 2009/12/02 09:26 - link

BatFad NecGar

Bat Fad will screw my deck over...that pesky creep really makes my deck eat ****...i've had a duel with chito one time, using his Christia Fairies...helocked me down by stalling with bat fad and Alchemist... :P
DOX (guest) - 2009/12/08 07:42 - link

So much flaming, it's very simple really.

Players in the philippines likes to go out of the box from net decks simply for several reasons:

1) It's not their build in the first place
2) It's not something that you attach sentiments to because it's someone elses build.
3) One one or more reasons, they don't like the decks game play.
4) IT'S NOT ORIGINAL.
5) Most players, if not ALL, in the philippines started playing for FUN and wants to KEEP it that way.
6) Everything else has been mentioned over and over already.
