Last year this was the promo spot that Obelisk was released in.

Scion of the Flames (guest) - 2009/11/15 01:09

Edit: Whoops, nevermind. It was the V-Jump promo released at this same time. Not weekly. My mistake.

I could see E. Hero Great Tornado, Mighty Warrior (Yusei's 2nd Synchro in the 5D's manga), or maybe something brand new (doubtful).

It'd be nice if we got another Dark Synchro-turned-Synchro too though considering One Hundred-Eye Dragon took it last time; Frozen Fitzgerald, Pitch-Black Zumwald, and Dark Flat Top being the only ones left now to come out.

TheDarkAngelRocket - 2009/11/24 13:16

Movie

It's a card from the new movie. Therefore, it's not manga/anime cards. It will probably be a card used by Paradox.
ShinobiPhoenix - 2009/11/17 21:54

Anyone think it could be Paradox's card from tomorrow's 5D's?

Quote:

http://www.yugioh10th.com/diary/index.html Diary updated, November 17.

They are talking about Atsushi Tamura's post recording interview, how he came to the recording despite having a busy schedule. It says something about Paradox and nihility (...nihility. *GLEE!*) They will explain in detail(?) and it is endured with a jerk(? Aha, what.) They also ask us to look forward to Paradox's act in the movie. Apparently Paradox's monster is introduced with tomorrow's 5D's episode (Eyecatch? Opening?)

So much for tomorrow being filler.

canonink (guest) - 2009/12/03 11:30

could it be time wizard?
ShiroRyu - 2009/12/04 02:30

Lol, I could just see that - Judai summons E-Hero Neos, Yugi summons Dark Magician and Yusei summons Stardust Dragon... followed by Paradox summoning Time Wizard and blowing them all up!

Yay! Sin Blue-Eyes White Dragon!

Wonder if there will be any other Sin monsters released at all later. Anyways, the Special Summoning requirement is pretty insane; being able to remove BEWD from your Deck of all places. At least that's counterbalanced quite a bit with the "only 1" bit and possibly preventing other monsters from attacking and possibly needing a Field Magic Card to either live or at least use any other effects it may have.

king valmont (guest) - 2009/12/03 22:48

This is awesome!!!
SynjoDeonecros - 2009/12/04 00:45

So, this is the first of the "Sin" monsters, eh? Is it just me, or are the "Sin" monsters all corrupted versions of the key cards of our heroes and their friends? We've got a "Sin" version of Blue-Eyes, and from the other openings, there's a "Sin" version of Red-Eyes and Stardust Dragon, as well (probably why Paradox stole Yusei's Stardust card; he needs it to get out Sin Stardust Dragon). So, will we expect Sin Dark Magician, Sin E-Hero Neos, or Sin Yubel, sometime?

On that note, I'm curious about Paradox's plan to kill Pegasus in the past and make Duel Monsters not exist. I've always wanted to write or see a story arc where the big bad wants to get rid of Duel Monsters because he feels it's become too prevalent in the world, or the magic behind it is too dangerous to allow the game to exist. Be interesting what his motivations are for doing so, and if the devastation in his future is caused either by his own hand, the result of him making Duel Monsters vanish, or the result of him NOT making Duel Monsters disappear (the last option would really be interesting to see; would kinda make him out to be a somewhat heroic character, for a villain).
Scion of the Flames (guest) - 2009/12/04 10:06

Synjo, this is starting to sound like "Back to the Future"x"Watchmen" lol
SynjoDeonecros - 2009/12/04 21:09

Well, think about it: Duel Monsters had grown so large and prevalent in later Yugioh series that it topples religion as the third member of the World Power Triangle (the others being politics and business) AND has entire schools WITH earnable degrees in GX, and had even infected the DMV and local law enforcement/gangs in 5D's (with the Duel Runners and Turbo Duels, and the absolute ban on and confiscation of the cards by the police when a criminal is sent to prison). Plus, despite the Memory World Arc seemingly taking care of the Shadow Games in the original, the magic of Duel Monsters is still very much prevalent in the latter series, with Duel Monster Spirits and Psychic Duelists. So, whether it be from the dangers its mystical origins pose or the obsession it infects on the world, Duel Monsters has been and still is a major threat to the world. It's only natural that SOMEONE, eventually, would get it in their head that it needs to go, for the future sanctity of mankind.

Of course, this could turn into a Beast Wars Megatron sort of deal, where the villain becomes so short-sighted with his goals of saving his future by eliminating the perceived threat in the past, that he doesn't realize and failed to study up on how many things the "threat" actually PREVENTED humanity's destruction (in this case, it could be anything from the Light of Destruction going through to kill off humanity unchallenged, to the Earthbound Immortals rising up and conquering the world without the Crimson Dragon and its minions to oppose them).

Plus, if you want to get really snarky with things, some of the episodes/story arcs of the later seasons of GX and 5D's seem to lampshade or deconstruct various parts of the game or the anime (Jaden's duel against Dimitri, for instance, being interpreted as a possible jab against netdecking, or the current Machine Emperor Infinity arc being a possible commentary on whether or not the Synchros are too broken to be allowed in the game). If we go by that logic, then the movie and Paradox's plan could be interpreted as deconstructing the most poignant cliche of the series: how much the card game has taken over the series, when it wasn't meant to.
guynamedjoe (guest) - 2009/12/03 23:41

I predict the name will be changed

Because Sin sounds too scary for kids apparently.

RedEyesFan - 2009/12/04 01:31

dont think it will change

cause 4kids aint getting the movie
i hope.
ShiroRyu - 2009/12/04 02:20

If 4kids do get the movie (please god, no) they'll probably have to end up changing quite a lot since Season 4 of GX wasn't dubbed.
ShiroRyu - 2009/12/04 02:19

Regardless of if the missing bits are "attack" and "this card is destroyed" respectively (like people are guessing), look at the requirements for this: "This card can only be Special Summoned by removing from play 1 "Blue Eyes White Dragon" in your Deck." That is pretty awesome in itself (so long as you have a BEWD in your deck, you can Special Summon it).
Also, I have to say I was expecting news on these to crop up at some time, but that doesn't make this any less awesome - another Blue Eyes! And a Red Eyes and Stardust to follow! If my suspicion is correct, we'll see "Sin" versions of Dark Magician, E-Hero Neos, Armed Dragon LV7, Rainbow Dragon, Red Dragon Archfiend and BlackFeather Dragon (if anyone's seen the previews for the 10th movie after the recent 5D's episodes, there are 9 cards in total, with three of them being Sin Blue Eyes, Sin Red Eyes and Sin Stardust).

On that note, if there is a Sin BlackFeather Dragon, it will probably be the last one announced. It might also be Armor Master if BFD isn't shown in the anime by then.

Then again, another theory is that all 9 are Dragons (since there's no evidence to the contrary yet), which would exclude Dark Magician and E-Hero Neos (and in my opinion makes it less likely). I suppose they could be replaced by the 2 remaining Signer Dragons (Ancient Fairy and Black Rose Dragons), but still, it seems like it'd make more sense to split it 3 per series.

Tama (guest) - 2009/12/04 07:24

I Doubt they make the "sin" version of synchro monster because the summon cost is remove monster from DECK. Probably they make the "sin" version of old card like Red Eyes B. Dragon and/or Black Magician.
ShinobiPhoenix - 2009/12/04 03:12

Are we waiting on confirmation about Sin Red-Eyes being the Event Promo for the movie itself?

Before that gets posted up on the blog I mean.

That seems to be what is going around. Go see the movie and you get Sin Red-Eyes at the movie theater with your ticket.

I wonder what Sin Red-Eyes Black Dragon will do, but why are all GOOD Red-Eyes card hard to obtain?!!!

TheDarkAngelRocket - 2009/12/04 03:18

Sin BEWD

I'm kinda hoping for a more interesting promo (actually, a set of these promos would be a lot better. The last movie- Pyramid of Light- had a pack completely devoted to its exclusive cards).
Anyways, it's a decent monster. Good for a Dragon deck, if anything.

Nex (guest) - 2009/12/04 05:58

I could see it being used in the BEWD hopeless.

Where I would really like to see it though is in some form of a chaos build using a Trade-In draw engine. Possibly throw D-Heroes in and run Plasma.
ShinobiPhoenix - 2009/12/04 06:00

The last movie as also a 4Kids commissioned...

written and paid for by them piece of complete absolute total monkey shit. You might as well ask for Promos from Capsule Monsters.

the Pack had absolute shit in it and the only decent cards one wanted were gotten only from going to actually see the movie (I luckily worked at a movie theater at the time and got Shining Dragon easily).

And you are judging a card you don't even know the effect of. It's an anthology type movie, so it's going to want to use familiarity. Both to give love to the fans and bring the newcomers up to speed. A lot of completely new monsters (which are coming ANYWAY) wouldn't have the same effect on people.
ShiroRyu - 2009/12/04 12:53

Yeah because everyone knows Return from the Different Dimension was crap, even compared to Blue Eyes Shining, and didnt make an impact on the game at all.[/sarcasm]
HalfDemonInuyasha (guest) - 2009/12/05 00:26

IIRC, there were also Decks that used Inferno Tempest pretty often for a while. Peten the Dark Clown was used a bit too for a while.
ShinobiPhoenix - 2009/12/05 15:26

Oh, I'm sorry, I forgot people like to pick and choose what defines a good pack.

First off: The Movie Pack (solid gold foil) wasn't the same as the Exclusive Pack (black with Yugi on cover). So if you want claim Black Hierophant alone made that pack good (because BESD was just fanboy and binder baiting), go right ahead.

The Exclusive Pack was the one that had RftDD and Inferno Tempest.

Second: This pick and choose shit from Yu-Gi-Emos is getting ridiculous. An 80 card pack with a lot of good cards doesn't have a card someone is interested (possibly because nothing was broken) and the "whole pack is shit", but if it had a lot of bad cards but a two or even just ONE popular card, the pack is broken and "full of win." Seeing something in use doesn't make the rest of the pack great.

And I'll GLADLY remind you that speaking in hindsight doesn't help your case either as RftDD wasn't getting ANY ATTENTION when that movie came out and people hated it all the same. As is the case with this game, people like to swiftly (and quietly) change their minds and pretend it was ALWAYS that way. Metamorphosis, Dark Armed Dragon, Dimension Fusion (which is the only reason RftDD got the sort of attention it did), Instant Fusion now.

Such bastions of integrity we have in the world of Dueling. And your own statement is self-counter-productive due to the fact we haven't even SEEN the other cards or this one's effect confirmed (even though there's an effect text going around that completes it) and you're judging it and all the other promos from the movie with it.
SynjoDeonecros - 2009/12/06 00:53

Speaking from experience, eh Shinobi?

But you're right, we shouldn't make ANY suppositions about the Sin monsters untilw e know more about them.

EDIT: Nevermind; Didn't realize that it removed the monster from play, instead of sending it to the graveyard. Well, that is ultimately fail, on the card's part. Not even Hopeless Dragon will benefit from this card, and it's got way too many limitations on it to justify bringing it out (preventing all your own monsters from attacking AND being destroyed if there's no field spell on the field? The Earthbound Immortals, this guy is not). Maybe, in some twisted Dimensional variant of Hopeless Dragon, I can see this card being played, but other than that, it's just a pretty picture.

You're also right about the card attitude, now; as I always like to say with arguments like this, even Pot of Avarice was considered crap when it first came out, until Magical Merchant Pot Turbo kicked the doubters' asses. It's why I get a bit peeved when people bash on Cyberdark Impact as a crap set; I happen to like my Senet Switch deck, thank you very little.
ShinobiPhoenix - 2009/12/08 00:26

Skill Drain Decks benefit though.

Especially now a possible Hopeless Skill Drain (Forbidden Chalice and Emergency Provisions especially helps with timing or ridding your own Skill Drain when needed as well we getting the cost back). Stardust is also a huge star in Hopeless Skill Drain due to his activation trigger.

Blue-Eyes Skill Drain also likes this (FGD and BEUD as well as cards like White of Legend).
Tama (guest) - 2009/12/04 06:35

Probably, it's related to the the black monolith in 5D anime. Maybe the old stone of Atem ancient time corrupted by the enemy of the actual season of 5D. I guess...

Derp Derp (guest) - 2009/12/05 05:34

A shot in the dark..

watch there only be 7 sin monsters.. D:
ClearMetalVoltar - 2009/12/06 08:43

HOLY COW!!!

looks like all of the signature cards are getting more "badass" version of themselves lol.

lets hope for a sin black magician girl!!!!!!!

TheDarkAngelRocket - 2009/12/07 00:12

SBEWD

With this card's effect fully revealed, I can say that this card, when compared to an Earthbound God, is utterly obselete.
This card can't be Normal Summoned or Set. This card can only be Special Summoned by removing from play 1 BEWD from your Deck. Unfortunately, this card is not treated as "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" in any respect, so it can't be used for its support. In addition, you cannot remove a copy of this card from this Deck to Special Summon this card. In most cases, it relies on utter luck to have a BEWD in your Deck. "Removing from play" really doesn't help since RftDD is Limited.
Like the Earthbound Gods, there can only be 1 "Sin" monster face-up on the field at a time (which at this point is only restricted to this card in the OCG). In addition, if there is no face-up Field Spell on the field, it is destroyed.
However, there lies in the disadvantages. For one, if you have this face-up card on the field, other monsters you control cannot attack. Earthbound Gods have the ability to attack directly (which in most cases is better than simply conducting battle). They also have separate effects unique to each EBG; from battle purposes (Ccapac Apu/Cusillu), stall/burn (Chacu Challhua), and destroyed by card effects (Aslla Piscu/Ccarayhua). Not to mention that Ccapac Apu/Uru rival it in ATK while Wiraqocha Rasca *could* surpass it in that department.
This card is not without its benefits though. If you have this card in your hand and a Field Spell card (which is unlikely), you can Special Summon a 3000 ATK beatstick on your first turn. If not, you can use it for Trade-In or for a Hopeless Dragon Deck. Honestly, I was hoping for much more of this promo. I assume this is nerfed from the anime; rather curious as to how Sin monsters are SUPPOSED to be (in the anime). Especially since we have at least 1 other Sin monster; Sin Stardust Dragon.

ShinobiPhoenix - 2009/12/08 00:21

SKill Drain deck also says...

.."Hello and how are you doing today?"

We didn't suddenly forget about that still endless loved/hated thing, now did we?

SIn BEWD and Barbaros. 6000 Beat power instantly. That's at base for what that deck is capable of. Blue-Eyes Skill Drain is already normal.

Hopeless Skill Drain is also a possibility (due more to Forbidden Chalice or properly played timing). Summon Darkness Metal, summon back a Dragon, Summon Sin BEWD, SKill Drain and GOOD GAME.
