wheres all the ppl now saying ls is bad? where are you now? LS is the best deck in the format, not admitting it is foolish and asking to lose. what do you lose to admit it, does it take money to pay attention to LS? now you know what to side against more. im not even a LS player, i'm just smart enough to realize that admitting a deck's better than mine doesn't cost me money and will only win me more games rather than putting my head in the sand and saying "lalala my deck is best LS is sux too inconsistent"

cytheh - 2009/11/08 00:02

you are correct.

what you are saying is true. there are always more fools than smart people unfortunately. I know one of the guy who used to play six samurai keep calling lightsworn no Brain Sworn, I just asked him: " how much brain does it take to play six samurai? less or more than lightsworn?" facedown monster = irou, face down backroll= yaichi, face up monstre = zanji face up backroll = kamon, how skillful is that? " then, he's just stuck... like speechless. lol
DarkDragonphoenix (guest) - 2009/11/08 10:10

@Cythe

So, and how brainfull is it to play Lightlord? It just plays itself, you don't have to skill anything, only thing you need is the luck NOT to deathdraw and mill lucky, afterwards everything does itself...
BTW:
Anything on the field: Celestia/JD=How brainfull is that? Even less than Six Sam-.-

But I don't say Lightlord is bad!
The Pac (guest) - 2009/11/16 07:45

ummm....

it actually takes alot more talent to do ls then you might think,
i have won numerous duels against ls players because theyd forget to mill,
you have to be constantly remembering to do that alongside trying to win AND not decking out, while keeping a balanced field presence,
its harder then it looks,
Jing (guest) - 2009/11/08 05:00

LOL LS

After hitting every other viable deck with the ban bat and leaving LS completely untouched they better have won some tourneys or else it would have been damn embarrassing

DarkDragonphoenix (guest) - 2009/11/08 10:11

nope

It isn't completely untouched-.-
Here:
CosR banned
Crush banned
(Cold Wave limited)
Not touched, huh?!
cdk19 (guest) - 2009/11/08 18:40

riiiiiiiiiiiiiight because other decks totally didn't use those cards either... and to a greater effect.

on the other hand the ban list took a massive dump on rescue cat (no need for explanation) and took away vayu turbos ability to OTK/FTK AND its lockdown with crush and DDV on top of neutering its best tuner.

They're practically untouched besides a few tech cards that were far superior in a vayu/bw deck or a zombie deck
Even synchro cat and gbs had better use of cold wave

sigh
DeaDog (guest) - 2009/11/08 05:43

lol...

Just as I predicted. LS would be top,and although there are other decks winning as well, a lot of them use the LS engines.
I was severely repressed before because I said "I seriously want an inconsistent deck that win tournaments like that" and now we got silence.

random guy (guest) - 2009/11/08 09:01

hmmmm

so you guys do know that this was a 12 person tournament right. Now im not disagreeing with any of you at all so please dont bash me for this comment. but personally i feel that a lot of the decks for this format dont take much skill to play, but that is just how it is right now. lightsworn just happens to be really good right now but if you look at all the tournaments this site posts undead/lightlord decks are the main winner here. While pure lightlord are probably the deck that is going to win overall in this format i dont think its the "best" deck of this format if that makes sense. but this is mainly just my opinion.

DarkDragonphoenix (guest) - 2009/11/08 10:12

go random guy!!
You r e a l l y got it...Undeadlord is the most winning, Lightlord engine is good, not pure lightlord XP
25strat (guest) - 2009/11/08 22:16

yeah pure LS is not good, that's why it took 4/4 top 4 spots at the last SJC. damn its a terrible deck. plz don't side vs it since its so bad, it costs money to admit your deck might lose vs. LS.

it doesn't matter how skilled a deck is, that has nothing to do with how much it wins. aliens are the most skilled deck in the game, how often does it win? the SIMPLER a deck is, the MORE it wins usually because less mistakes are made and usually, simpler means more powerful (like JD).
random guy (guest) - 2009/11/12 07:58

once again

i never said ls was a bad deck. i just said i dont think it was the BEST deck in this format. And also you might not realize that this is an ocg site not a tcg site which means that what happened at the last shonen doesnt mean anything about the ocg. if lightlords fill 4/4 of the top at the next sjc with tcg now having catastor i would be shocked.

Ice-eyes (guest) - 2009/11/14 14:19

Facing Facts

LS is probably the best deck in the format. Yes, Catastor is an issue, but they can build around it and few decks are even equipped to summon Catastor with any frequency right now.

I think one issue in the OCG is that players aren't building it right. They're playing these 30-monster builds and it's simply sub-optimal. This deck seems to be picking up on what the TCG only realised after months of experimentation, but it's still 43 cards. It will take a while for the OCG to learn how LS are best used.
marshmallows - 2009/11/22 10:17

this is just my opinion here but i'm guessing a lot of people use ll engine thats why its winning

plus this tournament had only 10 participants and I'm guessing about 5-6 were ll
remember just my opinion we are all entitled to one

I personally love using ll cause its fun
