wow so soon

will this have anything to do with stardust like /buster mode?

Rex Raptor (guest) - 2009/03/31 09:56 - link

Sorry guys, but this new is a great FAKE !!!
All fools day !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

johnist (guest) - 2009/03/31 13:02 - link

a bit early for april fools...

However information is faulty so is likely fake for the following reasons:

Cards/pack & packs/box are duelist pack quantity.
Next cover card likely to be godwins dragon
FilipGX - 2009/03/31 13:07 - link

it's not fake

I don't think it's fake info because japanese booster packs contain 5 cards since Phantom Darkness...
Plus, as you can read, Godwin's cards are included in it, so it means his dragon is in this set :/
ed (guest) - 2009/06/05 19:44 - link

hi

sorry its not a fake
Dsd (guest) - 2009/03/31 13:27 - link

First of all we cannot jump to conclusions right away

Who's to say the fifth dragon is in this set? Just because Goodwin has his cards in here doesn't mean that well see his dragon.

The only thing that seems off is the name, it seems too fake but besides that I don't see why not trust this info

DarkDragonphoenix (guest) - 2009/04/05 20:25 - link

It is N O T yet shown that Goodwin is the 5th Signer!!! You fool, it's just a thought of many people, and as he said, the 5th Signer will apear first when the other 4 are in danger...so...he isn't really a signer...or it is not clear...
DarkSigner (guest) - 2009/03/31 15:15 - link

Yes tomorrow is 1st April so there is great possibility for this set to be fake. But as I see it is cool, becuase it promises long awaited Dark Signer cards!! Spiders , Infernities and more Fortune Ladies.Ruka's Regulus too and more support for Black feathers of Crow. Also Saviour Star Dragon looks like new Dragon monster of Yusei. But this may be April's Fool. If it is i will be disappointed a bit,but the best hopes it is not .

DarkAngelRocket (guest) - 2009/03/31 16:22 - link

April Fools?

Really, I don't know to trust the authenticity of this set. The title, "Stardust Overdrive," in itself makes me wonder.
But if this happens to be true, then this will be a great set. I assume this means Uru and Ccalaiya will probably be released in this set, and I say "maybe" because this could very well be a fake trick.

Akira (guest) - 2009/03/31 17:40 - link

Yes I also can't have trust in this info as it may be connected with April's Fools day :)But really I want this really be truth as we will have great cards to use, Uru and Ccaryhua. Also Dark Signer Field Spells! Spider Web would be so awesome to use adn savage Colliseum plus more Spiders and Reptiless. Also BF, Ruka's fairies and Fortuneladies. Also Altar To the Bound God of ruger would be awesome, even if that card gets changed i would like to see it in this set.And new cards to theme decks? Cool. That new Dragon might be evolution of Stardust , with great effect. But still we need this source fully confirmed.

DarkSigner (guest) - 2009/03/31 17:44 - link

DarkSigner

Yes as you all said, this might we really good trick which has been put somewhere on internet. But I won't lose hopes that we may finally see Dark Signer's cards. No Demak's cards? That makes me sad, no Apes,Closer Forest? but at least we will probably have their cards. And we didn't get full set of Ancient Prophecy yet.

Omegablack (guest) - 2009/03/31 19:40 - link

sooo???

so there is going 2 be more BW(Black Wing) support huh???

Akira (guest) - 2009/03/31 19:56 - link

Yes , as it says that Crow's cards will be in this set so more Black feather (Blackwing) support. But have on mind that this is not confirmed and it may be one of the regular 1st April jokes as every year.

Omegablack (guest) - 2009/03/31 20:02 - link

i mean the first 2 set made BW(Black Wing) a good deck the third set of the BW series gave the deck CCV targets but whats the forth set (Stardust Overdrive) will maybe make them broken ???
Akira (guest) - 2009/03/31 20:39 - link

Well they will probably add little more support and more Crow's spells and traps , and maybe few more Blackwings that are used in anime, maybe from his duel with Bommer if other cards won't fit in Ancient Prophecy.Maybe they will add in BlackWings that can swarm and summon from graveyard, other than BW North Pole .For traps and spells I think for some protection cards for BlackWings, we have Black Whirlwind for tutoring.Black feathers got enough support and and really no other support is needed to make them more broken.I think this set won't have many support for them becuase we have almost everything what they need.

Omegablack (guest) - 2009/03/31 22:13 - link

ok yea BW r good but will be next Tele-DAD the next 2 sets after Raging Battle
Akira (guest) - 2009/03/31 22:32 - link

I agree with you, Blackwings will be new teledad after RGBT.Gale of The Hurricane has proven to be the most splashable one it is like portable Tuner with Shrink effect . Also many Dark decks easily splash Gale, Shura, Lance and Sirocco for easy Synchro Summons. If that trend goes on, I am afraid that Blackwings may be hit by banlist that may cripple them. This may be more obvious, they get even more Tuners in Ancient Prophecy,Vayu and Foehn gonna see mayn play as they serve for instant Synchroing and OTK, even better they work with Crush Card. But i reall don't want for crippling to happen becuase I really like Blackwings as decktype and are really fun to use.

DarkAngelRocket (guest) - 2009/03/31 23:05 - link

Blackwings (Black Feathers)

I wouldn't say so.

1): Gale of the Hurricane truly is one of the best Tuners in the game and can be splashed in many decks (albeit its Special Summon effect only works for Black Feather Decks). Its ATK and DEF reducing effect is a treasure; it is a once-per-turn effect. Of course, after it is used the first time, it will most likely be used for an immediate Synchro Summon. I won't be surprised if this card happens to be Semi-Limited in September (but of course, we still have the Bolt Hedgehog Unlimited as well).

2): I won't suggest that the individual Black Feathers (except maybe Gale) will ever be Semi-Limited or above. But they are indeed monsters whose effects are above average, especially in the competive enviromment.
Shura- can swarm the field with Black Feathers (1500 ATK or below, which also includes the afformented Gale, good especially with Urgent Tuning), 1800 ATK (just 100 ATK away from really being considered "broken").
Lance- Special Summon effect akin to Gale's, Piercer, 1700 ATK (well, it's better than most of the piercers in the game).
Sirocco- Normal Summon effect akin to Big Piece Golem; additional effect supplements a Magician's Cross-akin ATK-boosting, "only it can attack" effect. The best part of this card is that the majority of BFS can be Special Summoned when this card is already in play, including Gale (the tuner and Shrink user) and Lance (the defense piercer).

3): Indeed being DARK makes Black Feathers subjected to Crush Card Virus (especially Vayu, who can be used for Cemetery Synchro). However, the very fact Crush Card Virus is limited (just like its buddies Emergency Teleport and Dark Armed Dragon) doesn't make this strategy a guarantee. Foehn is indeed a powerful card, especially if you use and reuse Qa'lat of the Moonlight. Then, you will have a 1900 ATK direct attacker (as well as its effect to switch an opponent's monster in face-up Defense Position, which supplements Bora the Black Spear and/or Black Feather- Arms Wing).

4): Just because a certain deck is great competively does not ensure that it will be crippled right after. Lightsworns are still use competively, with only a few of its cards ever Semi-Limited or above, and a few cards made to counter them (Deck Dimensional Weapon and Core Chimair Drago). I would be more concerned about the Core Chimair being used competively; we're bound to see a lot more in Ancient Prophecy and Stardust Overdrive (assuming that the set is not a false April Fools' Day trick).
Omegablack (guest) - 2009/04/01 02:21 - link

but the in TCG LS(Lightsworn) beat BW (black Wing) i playtest BW against LS n it has a hard time against LS really

Kaostheory - 2009/04/01 15:35 - link

That might be because they only have three monsters in tcg, ocg has a lot more so stronger deck
Nique (guest) - 2009/06/01 16:40 - link

Bw vs. LS

BW can destroy blackwings based on how the deck is built and aggro deck build will crush lights worn
Akira (guest) - 2009/04/01 14:26 - link

To DarkAngelRocket

Yes, after bit more of thinking I realize that no matter how fast and good they are they won't take a hit, just as you said with Lightlords. But Gale would be really a problem becuase of it's splahabilty and synergy.it may end up Semi Limited or limited, no wonder.Foeh, Vayu and Mistral from ANPR are Crush Card Virus target and even this card is limited it will have use.Sangan plus more copies of Vayu and Foehn should give enough targets.Look at teledad and Undead Synchro, those decks runned it too( well if CCV is Limited why the most people say that it should be banned, that is truth but 1 copy of card- what it can do? )Foehn is of course, closing Blackfeathers to OTK deck with all the swarm and ATK boosting.Well other BF won't take hit, but Gale probably will.
To Omega Blaster:
Well did you proxy RGBT cards or you play with Crimson crisis Blackwings? Well, truth is that Black feathers will be really, really good after Raging Battle and they can beat Lightlords . Still you need to wait to that set.Still even without RGBT additions, blackwings are really good and powerful deck even with only Gale, lance adn Sirocco.

Akira (guest) - 2009/04/01 14:42 - link

Guys, can you help me? I am buliding Power Tool Dragon- Deformer deck with use of Equips.I am afraid this deck can have too much dead draws, tell me do you think so? Is there some way to shuffle Equips back to deck before summoning Power Tool Dragon? becuae it can happen you can draw all Equips in starting hand what is painful.I use D&C, Repair Unit, United We Stand and Megamorph. Is shuffling trough Magic Mallet good way? I see it really helpful way but is there another?I would like to build deck that will keep Equips in deck while summoning Deformers and PTD and use Equpis with it.Any ideas of your's? Some good decklist? And this deck is only fun deck but competitive as possible.I hope for more support for PTD and D-Formers in this set if it is not fake one.

Ray (guest) - 2009/04/01 16:11 - link

Well, I play deformers and I don't actually focus on PTD. I try the OTK with phone, board, radio and boombox though I still use him.

Anyways, I'd say magic mallet isn't that useful (Even worse than without it ...call it "experience") and if you use it, you'd better add some stall cards. 1 question: How many equips are still in your deck when you normally summon PTD.

BTW, how do you make use of repair unit...I try and try but don't understand it well.
kenny (guest) - 2009/05/13 11:46 - link

deformer deck

i have a deformer deck.its quite fun. try not to focus on PTD. even though its the trump card. try adding cards that can survive like boarden. and he'll give support to ur other deformers so they dont die by battle. use the deformer trap card too so ur monsters will be safe. use mobile phone to swarm the field with usable deformers. and use the deformer tuner remocon. so u can syncro ptd dont add to many equips. it'll kill urself. i have about only 8~9 equips and i dont get dead draws. also try using chimeratechs it works with deformers well.
Omegablack (guest) - 2009/04/01 16:27 - link

whats about this deck type ???

what u guy thing of Core Chimails or Koa'ki Meiru in TCG how i think its a good decktype the strategy of the "Koa'ki Meiru" is Anti-Meta Control deck so what do u think huh guy

Akira (guest) - 2009/04/01 16:30 - link

Thank you on replying me and for soem advices first.
Well Repair Unit is good with summoning Deformers from graveyard and also can discard other one for e.g. Junk BOX or something else. Also it is Equip that is searched by Power Tool Dragon. It is good usually after Synchro Summoning. Well Magic mallet has good and bad points, but I really want to shuffle equips back to deck to use with Power Tool, so that Equips are not dead draws before summoning of power Tool.I agree with you it is not so good.Really , I don't want that deck is too reliant on PTD but I want to make some good combos with him.I run 3 D&C, 2 Repair units and United We stand and megamorph, still it is testing.Tuners are Remocon and Scopen along with Videon's boosting effect.Few times it happened I drew bad, but currently I manage to shuffle back Equips and use them with PTD.Still bad draws happen becuase I want my Equpis shuffle back .I just would like deck that will not be over reliant on Dragon and Equpis but still that it will have use of them.

Omegablack (guest) - 2009/04/01 16:33 - link

so u think of Core Chimails or Koa'ki Meiru in TCG huh i think its a good decktype the strategy of the "Koa'ki Meiru" is Anti-Meta Control deck so what do u think huh buddy i like the deck
Akira (guest) - 2009/04/01 16:37 - link

Oh sorry i was occupied with my Power Tool Deformer deck i am testing.
Core Chimails are so awesome.First time i saw this theme I laughed in face of Teledad ( now R.I.P.)and Lightlords ( still running rampant).I like theme and, they have so much of good support, draw card, revival, search. They will combat Black feathers and lightlords well.

Akira (guest) - 2009/04/01 16:41 - link

And , to mention, Core Chimails boost the themes and also can be put in different deck as Anti meta addition. As theme , in one deck, they work really well, adn as I said , they have lot of resources. They get more support in Ancient Prophecy and new Chimail is coming, Bergzak ( sounds like a beast). They will be used, specially in side decks and added to some decktypes to combat top tier decks.

Omegablack (guest) - 2009/04/01 16:58 - link

also u can main Doomcaliber Knight n skill drains 3 Doomcaliber Knight n 3 Koa'ki Meiru Guardian + 3 skill drains say whats good XD
Anonymous (guest) - 2009/04/01 18:08 - link

lol

April Fools anyone? Come on, SO many characters are included in the set XD

Kaostheory - 2009/04/01 20:33 - link

it was shown on the site on march 31st, while it could be one it seems like it can be real since there has been two other packs with monster names, legend of blue eyes and strike of neos, and they both use the strongest monster of the main character of gx and the rival in the original. So for a pack named after stardust can be quite feasible. On the matter of the characters that is because these sets have been having a lot more anime cards that before and the season of 5d is almost over so they have to get all the cards they want in around now
jaymiechan (guest) - 2009/04/01 21:22 - link

MAR31=APR1

Kiddies, Japan is a day ahead. Meaning March 31 in the US is April 1 in Japan.
ShinobiPhoenix - 2009/04/02 08:51 - link

So only a Japanese person would have done this?

A: Japan is 14 hours ahead, NOT a day. So it WOULD still be March 31 for them when this went up.

B: Most April Fool's pranks done through Shriek are BY Shriek and EB, so that puts another dent in the timing bucket.

C: It's a moot point as Shriek and EB removed the "unconfirmed" tag, so it's not April Fool and everyone can shut up about it now.

D: I suppose it's ironic to have someone not only be wrong, but go around calling people "kiddies" while having the "-chan" honorific in their own name.
FilipGX (guest) - 2009/04/02 11:16 - link

That's right. I'm with you, ShinobiPhoenix.

Also someone said that it's fake because the pack contains 5 cards -_- That just prooves how much they know YuGiOh!
Ray (guest) - 2009/04/02 15:06 - link

TO AKIRA: DEFORMERS

Uh since you're like the only other person I know who uses these little guys. I was wondering if you ran

1. "Dfield" "DAccel" and "DBarrier"
2. "Datatron" and "Clocken" -Burners
3. "Enemy controller" "Stumbling" and "No Entry" -battle position manipulation

Thx. Help needed cuz my friend uses lightlords and it's crappy how everything just goes "BOOM". Ya know? anyways thx

Ray (guest) - 2009/04/02 15:13 - link

oh and, For magnen I (the new magnet)...ya think its (atkposition)effect (concerning other monsters unable to attack) will be removed when he is removed from the field during that battlephase?
In otherwords, can my other monsters still attack as long as Magnen I is removed from the field (by me perhaps) during that turn after Magnen attacked.
Akira (guest) - 2009/04/02 18:58 - link

Thx Ray.I see you are intersted in Deformers well.
Concerning Magnen I, it is BF Lance of Deformers, but with more restrictions. He is awesome and I will include him in deck if he comeys out in Ancient Prophecy. And your dilemma, I have opinion. Magnen I's effect activates on field and it makes other monsters unable to attack, but if Magnen leaves the field effect is no longer applied becuase he is not face up on field.I think I helped you bit, at least.
And Deformer deck
D-Acclerator is a replacing Deformer with new card.It is good to run in 3s.
D-Bind is another prtoectioncard. You will never lack D-formers on field becuase of their presence on field. Junk BOX- staple reborn of their's.
Okay, to make clear, Deformers have different playstyles.
Beatdown focuses on swarm Boomboxen, Radion and Mobaphon along with Cyber Dragon and Honests. This deck doesn't need Map but you can include Binds, Solemns or Bribes and stalling to protect yourself.
OTK type decks use Maps,Accelerators, Bind,Machine Duplication,Junk BOX to quickly search and summon Boomboxens,Mobaphones,Radions , Borden to quickly overpower and OTK opponent. Also you can use searchers like Snagan or Giant Rat and Cyber dragon as beatstick. Also you can use 3 Remocons and 2 Scopens for quick Synchro swarm. Traps are very protective, like Threatening, Solemn and D-Bind.Barrier is bit sutautional and tricky card, so side deck it.
Burn focuese more on Datatron and Wave Motion Cannon and most battle position manipulation .
Third decktype , that I like the most that is the most fun to play at least for me ( seeing Rua in 5ds) is Power Tool Deformers. It is deck between OTK and beatdown.
Usually it is high beatdown and plenty of protection and countering opponent. You use beatdown style spiced with few Equips and Power Tool.In this deck you need Deformer Tuners, Remocon and Scopen for Power Tool and other synchros.Others are Mobaphon,Radion,Boomboxen,Videon, Pacchin...Double Tool D&C is main equip in 3s as it makes your monsters great beatsticks and gives them more protection.Other equip I suggest Is United We Stand and Repair Unit for some revival with Junk BOX .Traps : Solemns,Threatening,Bind, Mirror Force...Protection and not giving your opponent chance to conter you much.Just little problem is how to return Equips before dragon...Well I must test it more. And it is not so good to mix all Deformers and their support in one deck, but it is your personal choice.Well unfortnately,Deformers can often be helpless in front of Lightlords,Blackfeathers etc. becuase those decks are so damn quick and have speed for OTK.But don't lose hope! Deformers can put up good fight with them also.Just put in your deck and side deck Traps and Spells that can counter them and damage them and make them unable to OTK. Light Imprison Mirror is for pesky Lightlords, staples are Solems,Compulsory,Mirror Force, Bottomless... I hope I somehow helped.

Ray (guest) - 2009/04/04 10:16 - link

Thx so much, needed the pep talk...haha XD THX!!!
Akira (guest) - 2009/04/04 15:43 - link

To Ray

It is okay! Thank you.

Ray (guest) - 2009/04/07 16:15 - link

Can Judgment dragon activate its effect when summoned? I've always been confused about these things. Can or cannot bottomless kill it without it using its effect?
Akira (guest) - 2009/04/07 16:51 - link

If Judgment Dragon is summoned, opponent has priority. Thus he can activate effect first. Then you get priority and you can chain Bottomless . Judgement Dragon will be destroyed but it's effect stays so all other cars are destroyed.I think that is how things work, if I am not wrong so much.

Ray (guest) - 2009/04/08 12:44 - link

O well, no avoiding that...how about spellcasters?...Like Arcanite (the synchro)
DarkDragonphoenix (guest) - 2009/04/13 14:13 - link

@Akira: That's totally W R O N G !!!

Ney, did you even passed a rulebook???

If you chain a JD with Bottomless, your OP of cours CAN NOT activate it's effect!!!

What a stupid idea is that: ???

If Judgment Dragon is summoned, opponent has priority. Thus he can activate effect first. Then you get priority and you can chain Bottomless . Judgement Dragon will be destroyed but it's effect stays so all other cars are destroyed.I think that is how things work, if I am not wrong so much.

So you are MUCH MUCh MUch Much much wrong!

And JD doesn't get destroyd, he is removed from game!
Kuriboh (guest) - 2009/04/14 06:52 - link

Akira is right

Akira is right dude
if i summon and activate the effect of judgment dragon and he chains with bottomless. The effect of the dragon still will work.
Monsters have prioritys against trap cards unless they are "counter traps" like solemn judgment.

I know it because i play Stardust acceleration and when i summon Snipe hunter or Demise or Judgment dragon their effects work with bottomless
Akira (guest) - 2009/04/08 15:35 - link

If opponent summons Arcanite you can chain Bottomless and then Arcanite will be destroyed and opponent can't ,activate effect of course. That is also for other Synchros- Bottomless is their ,, enemy,, and thus it is in every deck as counter to them.Stardust cannot negate it of course so it is handy.

Tama (guest) - 2009/04/11 10:56 - link

I think you can't activate bottomless on arcanite because when you summon it has 400 atk and the spell counter are not placed on him at the time, if you wait the counter you loss the timing.
Kamil (guest) - 2010/01/11 09:49 - link

I think you can't use bottomless trap hole to stardust dragon because when it is summoned it can activate it's effect to negate botomless since it is written "destroy and remove from play" so stardust can negate it
Randomguy (guest) - 2009/04/12 07:41 - link

Holy Snap!

Really, any sooner (rhetorical). Anywho, you know what would be absolutely cool if they add in the "Dark Synchros".........it might be fun. I am really curious what this pack will bring.

BTW.......Rex's cards?!!!!!!!!? *sigh* now I want to know.

Akira (guest) - 2009/04/13 10:31 - link

Ahh yes.My mistake.Arcanite has attack of 900 so I can't play Bottomless on it.And waiting on counters would miss the timing, true.SO there is no possibilty to play Bottomless on Arcanite?
Anyway I am interested in Dark Signers too.It was time they release their cards here.I just feel sorry for Demak and why they don't realese his cards, but this set brings hope they will be here.Closer Forest has really nasty effect of ATK boosting.Apes have good control effects too.We have hope for Yusei Duel Disc promo or this set.
Also if Godwin's cards are here, he will duel soon and that is even more surprising.
His theme might have connection with People of Stars and Legends.
Rudger's and Carly's cards are also what I really want: Rudger's Earthbound God temple that summons God on feild is really interesting.

DarkDragonphoenix (guest) - 2009/04/13 14:10 - link

Arcanit has 400ATK!

Arcanite Magician has only 400 ATK !!!
Ano (guest) - 2009/04/20 12:24 - link

Hmm, unless i'm mistaken, arcanite's adding of counters and adding of 1k attack per counter does not start a chain, hence it would be summoned with 2.4k attack, so it can be bottomlessed, UNLESS you use priority and remove the 2 counters(its a cost if i'm not wrong), which then its atk goes back to 400 and bottomless cannot activate.

This is the same logic as burden of the mighty + king tiger wanghu, burden does not start a chain so tiger can kill it.
Aimlessly starring (guest) - 2009/05/18 20:45 - link

ano,

if that's the case, ppl will be shooting left and right with breaker responding to buttomless.
Akira (guest) - 2009/04/13 19:59 - link

Oops, but still Bottomless don't affect it.

Mage King (guest) - 2009/05/27 19:05 - link

Bottomless doesn't effect arcanite

bottomless doesn't effect arcanite. Bottomless has to be chained directly to the summon. arcanite is summoned with the original atk which is 400 atk. if you were to bottomless arcanite then you would have to chain it to the summon which you can't since arcanite is summoned 1100 atk under bottomless' activation limit. after the summon is successful only then will arcanite gain the 2k from her effect since a card's effect can only be activated after it's on the field.

DarkSigner (guest) - 2009/04/13 20:03 - link

Alright, some of prewievs say that Yusei will duel Rudger after Kiryu in episode 56 and 57 ( altough this is not so believable, 2 duels?! ) but how there comes here won't be more cards of his besides Saviour Dragon ? I mean it is possible that he will play more new cards and new cards of his are not announced here.So are prewieves really true?

DarkDragonphoenix (guest) - 2009/04/14 14:28 - link

I think the previewers are right...they've never been wrong...
Akira (guest) - 2009/04/13 20:11 - link

DarkdragonPhoenix, I know that Bottomless removes from play.OF COURSE
I KNEW FOR BOTTOMLESS AND JD , BUT MOMENT OF CONFUSION TOOK IT'S PART. Excuse for my mistake, but at that time I didn't think about it so I said those wrong things. Some time after I realized about it, but was too late.
Uncareful no- thinking moment .

DarkDragonphoenix (guest) - 2009/04/14 14:26 - link

sry

O.K. Well, such things can happen ¦D Don't Worry, Be Happy!

I'm very sorry about what I said to you...
Akira (guest) - 2009/04/14 16:56 - link

It was nothing, I must thank. You don't need to be sorry. After your explanation of Bottomless I know I must think more and be more careful. Thanks, you did well.

DarkSigner (guest) - 2009/04/15 12:20 - link

Ahh, I understand about prewievers.
Now when Ancient Prophecy comes out, there will be long time waiting for this awesome set!

DarkSigner (guest) - 2009/04/15 20:23 - link

Saver Star dragon, level 10 Synchro. Can't wait what this card can do! And Level 10 means Debris Dragon being more useful.Hope for more uptades after Kiryu and Yusei rematch.

Telekinetic-Star (guest) - 2009/04/24 04:21 - link

Too bad you can't use Debris...

It's too bad you can't use Debris with it. It'll need the new Salvation Dragon - Savior Dragon tuner to summon it. It's hard as hell to summon, but I believe it's worth it. Can be abused with Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon ^.^
Yugiohfan (guest) - 2009/04/17 09:50 - link

It is not an 'april fool' set

In preview of yugioh 5d episode 55 this card appear, so it can't be fake(this card is Savior Star Dragon).

shriek - 2009/04/17 18:40 - link

It's way past April 1st, how could anyone still think it was a joke? oO
Tidus227 (guest) - 2009/04/18 17:16 - link

Whatever

to those idiots who say u cannot activate JD's effect when its being bottomless are idiots cause JD has priority and can use is effect to wipe out the field at any time, if however solemn judgement or divine wrath and tat is out then they cannot, but still u can activate JD effect with prority

and for the main set, im lookin forward to black feather lone silver wind and black feather back flash to add to my deck

savior star dragon, avanced version of stardust and is now wondering how much broken would it be?

david (guest) - 2009/04/18 18:34 - link

savior star dragon

i think it will have a clear field effect like black rose only it deals x's amount of damage to opponent because earthbound gods can only hit by monster effect!!!

Akira (guest) - 2009/04/18 19:15 - link

For Bottomless and JD

If Judgment Dragon is summoned, opponent has Priority. Thus he can activate effect first. Then you get priority and you can chain Bottomless . Judgement Dragon will be destroyed but it's effect stays so all other cards are destroyed.
That is what I said in one of the posts here.Opponent has Priority and some tought it is wrong.
This is similar with Chaos Sorcerer and such monsters,

Saviour Star Dragon is of course more powerful version of Stardust that will have effect that gets rid of Earthbound God for sure.

Jinzoob (guest) - 2009/04/19 14:27 - link

Saviour Star Dragon

i hope this 10/11 star dragon won't be an extreme pain to summon...and i hope they release BF - Lone Silver Wind in here as well. GO BFS!!!
Gods-Knight - 2009/05/08 23:40 - link

To Akira Tidus227 Ano DarkDragonphoenix Tama Ray

I love how u want to talk about previous cards and stratiges but still this is about the set. and it annoying but very cool when i read this. Akira i like u bc u try to help Ray. And i would like to compare strats. with u all but i came here to read oppions on the set.
ShinobiPhoenix - 2009/04/23 01:48 - link

Saviour Star Dragon is Arthur Petrelli (Heroes reference)

Here's to hoping Saviour Star keeps his anime effect intact.

If you didn't quite get the Raw version of what happened, Saviour Star can negate monsters AND STEAL THEIR POWERS (likely only once per turn).

Yes, it's a 10-Star 3800ATK Phantom of Chaos/Black Panther with Divine Fowl King Alector.

OH Saviour Star Dragon, you sexy sexy thing you...

danierulynx - 2009/04/23 05:55 - link

Savior Star Dragon's artwork will give you wood. FACT.
Cosmos (guest) - 2009/04/23 15:10 - link

"Once per turn, negate the effect(s) of 1 face-up monster your opponent controls until the End Phase. Also, that monster's effect(s) can be treated as this card's effect(s) and can be activated once."

No,no...
i think that that monster's effect (the one is negated by savior) can literally absorb savior's power for once.. (For what ???)

And during the end phase, it'll be returned to the extra deck.....

Til now, can't see the good thing in this card.. I'd prefer stardust dragon/buster mode much more than this card.. The only good thing I can see is that this card is in the extra deck, not main deck like stardust dragon/buster.
danierulynx - 2009/04/23 20:23 - link

You misunderstand. It's not the negated monster that gains Savior Star Dragon's effects, it's Savior Star Dragon that gains the negated monster's effect(s). That IS what I put, after all.
YuseiFudo222 (guest) - 2009/04/23 12:23 - link

This card will have awesome art.And effect?? What you people think about it? It is broken. But you must use Saviour Tuner, Stardust and one other monster....So much of card resources for this. And last effect seems nice, but looks like it forces you to return it back.Is this card worthy playing?
And I hope Max Warrior will be in this set along with that other Dragon Level 1 Monster with 0 ATK and DEF that has effect to Special Summon itself when Stardust is on the field.

Lenaick puiseaux (guest) - 2009/04/23 20:49 - link

Dissapointed

I'm sorry but I am dissapointed with Savior Star Dragon and its Tuner.

If Savior didn't bounce back to the deck or was at least a less of a pain to summon I'd see it being more useable, and the tuner is only useful in summoning Savior Synchro Monsters so its well the worst tuner ever.
YuseiFudo222 (guest) - 2009/04/23 20:59 - link

I understand.Sorry ,my mistake. You translated it correctly.
Saviour Star Dragon is pain to get out on the field. Saviour Tuner+Stardust Dragon+Level 1 monster....And it will be released with such conditions for sure.
Agreed, Stardust Buster is easier to summon than this card and any Buster Monster.Level 1 Tuner is bad and you won't have much use of it.Stardust Buster's effect is basically Solemn Judgment every turn and is really pain in the ass for opponent if they don't remove it.This card is not wea on removal, if opponent plays removal card you Release it and you wipe opponent's field. Also it can negate effects of opponent's Monster and steal it's effect. Wth back of Stardust you can use it to Synchro Summon again.
And if you know, what was the name of other Dragon that Yusei played when he discarded it via Sp Spell Angel Baton?

Divine (guest) - 2009/04/23 21:24 - link

I was looking too

I was also looking for the name/effect of the monster that Yusei sync with Stardust and Savior tuner for Savior Star. I know it was Shelong somthing. It looked like a chinese dragon but with Stardust colors.

FACT: Savior will be a really pain in the ass to get out.
FACT: IF YOU DO get it out. Its almost game no matter what. So its badass for all the trouble to go thorugh.

I must say, having him send HIMSELF back is really stupid. Anyone think G.B Hunter would negate his last effect. Alternately causing him to stay on the field? If that is true, than say goodbye to GBs forever! Hello Savior Star Ass-kicking Dragon!
ShinobiPhoenix - 2009/04/23 22:57 - link

To Divine, in regards to G.B. Hunter

While it SCREAMS "KSS is inbound, prepare for arrival," I would say yes, that would work.

Why? This is because most all other cards of that nature of mechanic (IE: involving the Deck to use an effect) actually DO include Extra Deck and the rulings back them up.

For example:

Chain Destruction, which has the ruling:
"If you activate "Chain Destruction" when a Fusion Monster is Summoned, monsters in the Extra Deck with the same name as the Summoned monster are destroyed."

The same ruling applies in reverse, for when a monster that has the same name as one in the Extra Deck (this of course is only two cards in the game right now), those monsters in the Extra Deck will be destroyed as well. The two cards this involves is of course Neo-Spacian Marine Dolphin and Neo-Spacian Twinkle Moss because they are both treated as Aqua Dolphin and Glow Moss respectively.

In other words, summon Aqua Dolphin and you can use Chain-D to dump all copies of Aqua Dolphin AND Marine Dolphin. Also obviously works for the Harpie deck since all the Harpies share the same name and it will combo well with Hysteric Party.

Chain Disappearance also follows this ruling form.

My point in all this is that a lot of cards when they say "Deck" often INCLUDE "Extra Deck" when it can be applicable and usually the rulings will cover your ass. So as far as G.B. Hunter and SSD or the Neo Fusions, it SHOULD work but a KSS is likely.
Cosmos (guest) - 2009/04/24 09:00 - link

Nope....

Nope... It won't works well as we thought....
Until I see the "If this card is in the graveyard by this card's effect, special summon this card from the graveyard to your side of the field" - kind effect, I think it's not too worthy to bring a GB Hunter in your deck....
Kaostheory - 2009/04/24 14:04 - link

You guys do know in order to summon it you can use kinka-byo since it summon the tuner by itself.

Divine (guest) - 2009/04/24 15:43 - link

Eh?

Explain what you just said . . .
Kaostheory - 2009/04/25 22:20 - link

Stardust dragon can be summoned the normal way, and then all you need is the tuner in the grave so you can summon the tuner and synchro for stardust.
YuseiFudo222 (guest) - 2009/04/24 20:16 - link

I found out the name of little Dragon Yusei Summoned via discarding by Sp Spell Angel Baton,it is Stardust Shaolong (Shaolong means ,, young dragon,,in Chinese). It's stats are 300 ATK and DEF, Level 1 and LIGHT.It's effect is you can Special Summon it when you control Stardust Dragon.
Shaolong is perfect for summoning of Saviour Star Dragon.Stardust + Shaolong+Saviour Tuner.
And this card will be probably released in this set. What you guys think about Stardust Shaolong?
And Kinkabyo has effect to Special Summon Level 1 Monster from your Graveyard to the Field. So it can summon Saviour Tuner and make summoning easier.
Saviour Star Dragon goes well with Red Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon. And it won't be easy to splash G.B Hunter in Deck with Saviour Dragon.

Divine (guest) - 2009/04/24 20:42 - link

Good point

Awesome you found out about the other dragon. I guess the whole GB hunter would make things werid. Well hope we can get everything we need to make SSD splash. I really look forward to just seeing the card in real life. The art is fantastic
YuseiFudo222 (guest) - 2009/04/24 21:21 - link

Yes this Dragon has the best art of , better than all Signer's Dragons.
G.B Hunter is hard to splash in Deck with Saviour. It will lead to incosistencies and also opponent might get rid of it easily.
Shaolong is nice with Debris Dragon and also speeds up whole Saviour Dragon summoning.Works with One For One too.
Use Savour's effect, than Red Eyes special summons it and direct damage to opponent. And you can fetch all pieces needed for Saviour Star Dragon.Simple.After Saviour is back in Extra Deck, you get back Stardust and you have more protection next turn. Then repeat and repeat Synchro Summonings of Saviour Star Dragon.
Deck that will make this card more playable is Hopless Dragon.

Vengeful Juggalo (guest) - 2009/04/25 13:18 - link

yal really take this game just a bit serious, and its kinda funny, cuz who knows, yal prolly 30 year olds who hav nothing better to do, honestly, who cares if this is the dragon, who cares if "godwins" dragon is/isnt in here, or who cares if he is the 5th "signer." ive never seen the stupid anime, since forever and a day ago, but all this talk about dragons, makes me think theirs more dragon fags than just one dude i know {james} and btw, theres always been 5 cards per pack in japan, lot longer than phantom darkness....

Divine (guest) - 2009/04/25 18:22 - link

There is STILL no cure for stupidity my friend. But we will be happy to not allow it to spead to us. God bless you XD

Seriously.... Who actually cares whether u care??
People here enjoy the game & its non of our concern whether u enjoy it or not, and its not like anyone offended you. So, what's with the "yal prolly 30 year olds who hav nothing better to do". Thats quite insulting to some people. Please spare a thought for other people's feelings before you start saying anything.
YuseiFudo222 (guest) - 2009/04/25 19:34 - link

Will this set have more Black Feather monsters? I bet that Silver Wind and BF Backflash will be released here? BF got really good support and what will they get now with this new support?
Dark Signer cards are expected.Fortune Ladies will all be released , they work with Aslla Piscu and Future Vision but is that easy to make deck with them as theme? Fortune Vision wipes Normal Summoned monsters....So no other Spellcaster Counter support or something other.Alose they are different types and it will be ahrd to give that dekc some drawing power.
Spiders will be interesting becuase we will see them more in upcoming duels. And Uru+Pinch Hopper,Gigaplant,Verdant Sanctuary...Also I wonder will they release Altar To The Bound God, Ludger's Trap that summons Earthbound form deck?
Spider Web is Field that slows down opponent and manipulates positions.

Gods-Knight - 2009/04/25 21:31 - link

COOLLLLL!!!!!

I think it is cool. I love the 2 cards so far. I just hope that more monster come out with Savior in it. LIke Red-Dragon Archfiend(ENG) or Black Rose Dragon or some more. What i would like to see is some more Burst modes. It would be cool to see Black Rose Dragon burst mode. or Tempest Magician Burst Mode. Not likly on Tempest Magician though. I hope for more Zombies Synchros or some Fiends or Plants or Insects. But still cant tell really until more info gets out. I just wish that all cards used from all would come out. But its the 5Ds so not likly. Or the Rare Tresures Deck used by Yanagi in here.

YuseiFudo222 (guest) - 2009/04/25 21:56 - link

Yes, this set may contain more Buster support as it says,, more cards that work with exisitng themes,,.I am looking forawrd to it, I hope for more support that will make them even more palyable.Main problem is- what will you do if you draw them? Then whole strategy is ruined.Goblin Houskeeping is slow and wastes space in deck and Buster Teleport is fine but also may take valubale space and also can be dead draw without Buster in hand.
Still they are good and useful just need more boost to be more palyable.Stardust Buster is the most played and the best but others also need to be seen.
And I hope that Saviour's summoning will be easier ( but unlikely). No mattter what ,they have potential and if it is used well it can lead into victory.Maybe we will even seem some non-anime support for Saviours, who knows.
And Infernities will get Infernity Necromancer and their Trap form episode 55, and will Necromancer make them more playable?

Gods-Knight - 2009/05/03 07:34 - link

You are right

But there is one problem on what you did say. Almost any card can be a dead draw. But still any card can work if used right.
DarkSigner (guest) - 2009/04/30 15:12 - link

This is Ludger's Trap he played in Episode 56.He used it to summon two Dark Spiders.Hope that more Spiders will be played...

Medigo (guest) - 2009/05/06 13:48 - link

having seen Episode 57, I can safely say there are no new Spiders
DarkSigner (guest) - 2009/05/06 19:52 - link

It is okay, still we have other good Insect support. And his Traps are also needed.

ShinobiPhoenix - 2009/05/07 21:18 - link

Raging Battle Ruling available now on Konami's YGO-Card site.

And the GB Hunter ruling confirms EXACTLY what I said.

G.B. Hunter prevent effects and activation of effects that would bounce cards to the Extra Deck just as much as it does for the Main Deck. If even prevents effects that bounce cards to the hand if it would target or affect a Fusion or Synchro Monster.

That means Neo Fusions won't bounce to Extra Deck and neither will Saviour Star Dragon.

Saviour Rose Dragon? Where is it confirmed?

Setsuna (guest) - 2009/05/14 22:42 - link

I know the 5 Ultra Rares

The 5 Ultra Rares are :

Saviour Star Dragon
Saviour Demons Dragon
Black Feather Kokou no Silver Wind
Jibakushin Uru
Jibakushin Ccaraya

FudoYusei222 (guest) - 2009/05/14 23:26 - link

Well, we still don't know lot about this set,Earthbound Gods will be Ultra Rare for sure,BF-Silver Wing probably and Saviour Demons is not confirmed to be in this set yet but chances are very high.

FudoYusei222 (guest) - 2009/05/14 23:30 - link

Well Earthbound Gods and BF Lone Silver Wind will be for sure Ultra Rare, but we are still not sure for Saviour Demons Dragon, it is not confirmed to be in this set yet.Still chances are high.

Gods-Knight - 2009/05/15 08:18 - link

U never know

They might change the card numbers. They might go up in the cards. The Earthbounds and Savior cards will more than likely be UR. I just believe that Savior Dragon and Stardust Xiaolong should at least be SR. They will more than likely be that or higher in the ENG version.

Kid (guest) - 2009/05/15 11:09 - link

Savior Demon

On that note, if Savior Star has THAT much potential with THAT many card combinations, will Savior Demon have equal potential? Savior Star is more or less the ultimate defensive wall with a buttload of firepower(much like Stardust), so will Savior Demon be a massive offensive sweeper with godly stats like Red Demon's? And I think we can more or less confirm the two cards coming together in some form or another. Stardust and Red Demon's have always been released virtually simantaneously.

hyperjan (guest) - 2009/05/16 00:37 - link

what's that "Future of GX" in the image next to savior star dragon? the magazine scan.

ShinobiPhoenix - 2009/05/17 19:19 - link

That was discussed already.

They are just replaying GX from beginning to end all the way through. Nothing new or special about it.

No new OVAs or new Series based on the Manga or anything like that.
TheDarkAngelRocket - 2009/05/17 17:17 - link

Card Numbers?

Are these the card numbers? If this is consistent, then SOVR-JP003 should be a Yusei card. Zero Gardna, perhaps?

Gods-Knight - 2009/05/17 17:33 - link

Just got to thinking

They are about to have all of the cards used in 5Ds out. what will they do when they get them all out. They will more than likely finish the Gx.
Cards that i hope is out in this is
Dark Tuner-Nightmare Hand
One-Houndred Eyes Dragon
Dark Tuner-Spider Coccon
Underground Arachine
Dark Spider
Ground Spider
Spider Web
Dark Tuner-Dark Ape
The Demonic Monkey King Zeman
Blizzard Lizard
Dark Tuner-Catastroge
Freezing Fritzegarld
Ice Mirror
Pitch Black Zumwalt
Symmetery Rorschach
Glory Shild
Masked Knights
Hate Agent
Mad Profiler
and more. LOL

Re: Gods-Knight

I doubt the Dark Synchro/Tuner mechanic will ever be present outside the anime. If they were to show them in the OCG, then they would have done so in Raging Battle or Ancient Prophecy when the Dark Signers had their cards in those sets. Card(s) that are generally used by those characters when not affiliated with this mechanic will possibly be released. Every Dark Signer, except for Demak, had their miscellanous cards released. It is quite possible for Reptiless Gorgon and the Spider cards to be in OCG format.

The same goes for all of the anime-only cards belonging to one-time minor characters in 5D's. We would have seen Kodo and Lancebow's cards in the sets by now. Besides, there are plenty of such characters in Duel Monsters and GX where they have use anime-only decks and have never seen a day of OCG release. Promo(s) used by the major anime-only character(s), such as Rafael, Darkness, and Fujiwara are excluded from this.
Gods-Knight - 2009/05/18 05:42 - link

I think u might be wrong about that. See a couple of years ago i had talked to people from toywiz.com ideal808.com UDE and Konami about future releses and they had said there where cards that would never get relesed out of anime and manga. Those where Guardian Eatos, Orichalcos Shunoros, Elemental Hero Woodsman, Elemental Hero Knospe, Elemental Hero Poison Rose, Elemental Hero Heat, Elemental Hero Lady Heat, Elemental Hero Terra Firma, Elemental Hero Inferno, Rose Bud, Hero's Bond, Terra Firma Gravity, Elemental Hero Voltic, Carrierroid, Gold Sarcophagus, and many more. But yet they are out or coming out. Not only that if what u are saying is true than y is Ido the Supreme Magical Force out. And Skull Conductor and many more. I believe that they will be releasing all of them from this information. Not only that the order of the cards release is not going to be with when the card is played on the anime. Plus many people want the cards used on the shows.
Scion of the Flames (guest) - 2009/06/10 12:37 - link

RE: Gods-Knight

I don't usually take rumors spread by retailers to seriously. Anyway, there is no way in heck they are about to release "all the cards used in 5Ds". We might get Skull Base though and there is the question of what will come out with Tag Force 4 (perhaps Symmetry Rorschach and the Mad Profiler, perhaps the Masked Knights, perhaps Magician's Ape, Fighter's Ape and Closer Forrest). They have been a lot more efficient about releasing cards since 5Ds started.

TheDarkAngelRocket:
The simple fact of the exceptions you made prove your statement wrong. Besides we all know how long it took for the Arcana cards to be released and there's still 11 Arcana floating around in oblivion right now. lol Eatos is out and only three important cards are left. Sacred Sword Eatos, Dreadscythe, Scythe of Dreadscythe and I doubt with Eatos lighting the Guardian series again that Konami is going to just drop it without the three remaining cards.
Gods-Knight - 2009/06/11 07:20 - link

LOL

I know what cards are out. And i know that they will not release all of the 5ds in this set. I was just listing what i would not mind seeing. I think bc of u 2 i might just list all the cards i would like to see. I would get in trouble but u 2 are making mad. I more than likely know more than both of u about Yu-Gi-Oh! all of it. I also know that what those people said where lies. And i also know it would be smart of Konami and UDE to release all of the cards used on the Shows. If they do not than they need to stop making the cards.
TheDarkAngelRocket - 2009/05/18 18:29 - link

SOVR Update

Where did this information come from?
Good to see the Fortune Ladies in this set have effects that make them decent Rares. Reptiless Gorgon has the same effect as in the anime. Ccalaiya's effect only restricts it to being destroyed by a card effect other than its own. And it seems Lone Silver Wind is actually a card in this set.

It will probably have its anime effect, which will allow it to destroy up to 2 monsters whose DEF power are equal to or lower than the ATK of this card, at the exchange of not battling during the Battle Phase.

i don't like to nag pep like this but... well, think about these,if players start planing how to win instantly with a long or short chain of effects, don't ya think that later,it will be back to phantom darkness-light of destruction situation?i mean, the new sets will only get cards able to destroy the strong arm of the past set ex:lightsworns are suposed to be faster than dark archetypes,or in the other hand, start limiting/forbiding cards because of just one effect,ex:cyber dragon was limited cause of monarch abusing and it also blew all cyber decks cause it made harder to get a cyber end or cyber twin, making them the overhyped chimeratech overdragon decks(that later made overload fusion limited, with that, blewing apart cyberdark decks)to where i want to get is,that with atitudes like that, the game will turn in a dumb yard with only one kind of deck, that will be throwed away with the next set, making all the effort of getting it a waste and also blewing the game for pep who likes them,ex(and i hope u don't misunderstand):pep that buy 3 zombie world decks for the 3 impregnable imperial walls for countering remove from grave decks, but the case is that, isn't better to think about how to build a deck on your own liking and trying on?(of course even if the deck has potential it would be better to know when to stop, cause later on,only the ones with certain deck may win cause they are the only ones who got the chance, and then,it would be pointless to choise a deck u like)i mean, look at yourselves!,hasn't been released and u alredy planing a OTK with it or how to bypass the side effect of cards like savior star dragon!i know it would be interesting to try out the G.B hunter on it,but it alredy has a strong enough effect for needing to stay a while,i mean:it not only negates a card that could destroy,it can destroy all of oponent's field with just activating one card and get the effect of a monster for one turn!what u need it on the filed for more than 1 turn if u alredy blew all of the oponentes field and u can easily recycle it?i don't want any of u getting mad at me,but is something u should think about, unless u want things like dark emperor/emperor's advent again, making a deck about countering the last one and putting cards to make pep buy it with only one card on purpose the best example is that one,u see, some styles get a centre piece, and most structure decks got one,but emperor's advent didn't,monarch are only norm summon worth and after going field they useless for the rest of game, and yet, caius was released as a cover card cause it could counter the rise of the great dragon to some degree!(i like the dark deck archetype and i'm making it,but still don't think of caius as a cover)and monarch are to be played together, other monsters like gilford the legend or infernal flame emperor are only worth when summoned too,but they are of the "end of game" kind, gilford for example gets as many equips as posible,so it is a "i will take this turn to fisnish u with my recently recovered cards" so it is worth it,but well,i don't like making spechees,so,after reading this, thing about it,and then u can choise wheter keep on this,or making rich guys the winners(they got money so they can buy all those hard to get unbeatable cards, and the re-prints won't change it at all cause they are changed when they go to U.S.A,ex:all monarch in emperor's advent were taken out but caius cause he was cover, and that made the rich dudes in U.S.A the tournament winners cause of the monarch abuse)tough... those lines weren't meant to make u feel bad in any way,so i'm sorry in advance for any moral damage it may caused...(not that i expected it to be inflicted)

Uru... Earthbound God Uru...

Where... where!? :(

There goes my hopes of making an Uru Deck...

DarkSigner (guest) - 2009/05/29 18:35 - link

No worries, Uru is 100 % in this set!
And we finally get Condor Earthbound God!

DarkSigner (guest) - 2009/05/29 20:50 - link

Aslla Piscu,Wiracocha and maybe Uru ( it's effect is powerful too, i think Uru also may be one of those which can be used the most) are the best Earthbound Gods!

no1 who matters (guest) - 2009/06/03 05:45 - link

not at all

maybe u right about aslla piscu and uru,but the condor isn't,it lacks high original atk, and the effect of it's own is for the purpose of getting it,but u lose cards from ur field, and despite the fact that makes the oponent discard,it's only worth when u norm summ,so it is the most useless one,the only reason of it's str would be if it got the anime effect of spell/trap card inmunity,at least effect isn't confirmed,so it coud be something better

EBGs

Wiraqocha Rasca is Godwin's EBG!! HE's The King of the Underworld??!
Now who saw THAT coming??
And we still don't know who this Giovanni dude is yet either!

And there IS a spot between Chacarayhua and Wiraqocha Rasca, so I'd bet that spot belongs to Uru.
Scion of the Flames (guest) - 2009/06/10 12:14 - link

Forrenz, I guessed it might have been coming. I didn't know the condor would be the last EB (or how sacred it is in Peru) but with the possibility of it I happened to notice the design print on Goodwin's shirt. Major Clue! Right from the beginning. Best Yu-Gi-Oh series ever! I have a feeling once the DS are out of the way we won't be hearing the end of the underworld god. With Luca, not even one duel using her own deck this season, and the 5th sign yet to be passed on to a living host (probably Lua) I think this is just the beginning of what the Crimson Dragon has tasked them with doing. To use Duel terminology, the cards were drawn with the tournament, the dark signers are merely the standby phase, main phase 1 has yet to come. :)

Gladiator Beasts

I hope there are again some new GB-Fusions in...we've so long not seen any new exept Kaiseris(Gyzarus)...I hope there's a fusion with murmillo or so...

this is bad

u know... there is something really bad in current situation,i mean, cards are released about the series,so,it would be weird to predict what would happen,u see, cause of the series, there is going to be a overhyped stardust and red demon, but, what could be better than that?,series gotta keep releasing, but they alredy fighting a super ancient underworld deity,so there is no way to get something tougher than that at all,so series may end alredy(even title of chapter 64 suggest so) unless konami starts making cards on their own,but still it feels weird... to think that game alredu got so far...cause there are still too many things to complete on game,i did really like to see more fusions or Rituals overall, not only as ScR on boosters, something like new D · Heroes or vehicroids,u know, old archetypes and styles that doesn't adjust to synchro just because of it being a new idea(aliens are an example)and pep can't complain about more D · Heroes, they weak overall, most decks just focus on stalling until u can get Destiny End Draggon,Dogma or Plasma,or focus them separate, like Dasher, pep think destiny heroes good cause they can support a lot of decks, but cause of those diferences among them, they can't be used that good among themselves, like the ol case of breaker and dark magician of chaos in a spellcaster deck... there wasn't a real strategy at all so it couldn't be used at all,so i did really like to see ol styles coming back in main sets instead of just manga or shonen promos or things like that

I just realized I put infernity Necromancer up there twice. Cool, well if Crow plays some new monster in the next few eps, the first infernity can be replaced. lol Or maybe that Gundog from Ushio's deck that still hasn't come out.
Medigo (guest) - 2009/06/10 21:27 - link

I really doubt they will be bringing out Delta Reactor (or any Bommer cards besides Dive Bomb)

Rarity issues

As star savior dragon, Wiraqochaca Rasca, and ccarayhua are ultras already, there is only room for two more ultras. Uru, Sun dragon iti, black feather lone silver wind, and Savior archfiend dragon are shown as ultras on the show (they are not wrong). I don't see all these guys fitting in. Uru is about 99.9% in here, as is lone silver wind, but the others will have to wait (and honestly, inti doesn't look like it's getting released...they said goodwin's cards right? they also said they'd give Bommer's cards in ANPR and we only got three of them...so preist of the sun, the nazca ant, the statue, and of course his Earthbound are getting released here, but not inti.) Yeah, I'm going by the show, but they haven't been wrong yet.
Scion of the Flames (guest) - 2009/06/16 06:57 - link

Why would they put Luca's Regulus card right between two Dark Signers? Signers cards first. Then Dark Signers. Then secondary characters. Then Earthbounds. Is how the pattern has been.

Starbright1 I disagree. I don't think it matters the exact number of cards a character is designated. It differs from set to set and with what happens in the show. Also Sun Dragon Inti is the first Synchro (not Dark Synchro) monster a Dark Signer has played. To top that off Goodwin is also the Boss Villain of the season. His most powerful monsters will come out one way or another. It's more possible in this set considering it already has more anime effect monsters than any other set in 5Ds line-26! ANPR had only 17.
Fossil Fusion (guest) - 2009/06/16 11:28 - link

Im hoping for Rex' synchros. He might even have more spell/traps he uses in the upcoming episode who knows. I wanted Masked Knights but not gonna happen since we're too far ahead of the fortune cup now :P

I like the Reptiless Monsters though they seem cool. But I wonder if we will get the Sad Stories spells. Highly unlikely since they can lock both players.

Cards for the future?
Fossil Fusions
Cyber Angels
Toys
Load of Darkness
Maybe more Clear monsters? But with their effect similarly written like Clear Vice Dragon.

Alot more anime cards. Maybe they'll go back to these after alot of 5ds sets. Who knows we can only hope I guess.

Overall liking this set :)

RITUAL ALERT!!!!!

OHMIGOD!!! RITUAL MONSTER ALERT!!! We haven't had ritual monsters in over a year. I thought they were dead.

Geez they really went out of their way with the reptilless monsters. Why didn't we get to see Misty play some of these monsters? But wait!! Theres a Reptilless Scylla but where is her sister! I demand we have a Reptiless Charybdis as well! And Medusa is only one of the three Gorgons.

Yeah! The reign of the Spiders commences! Finally! I really hope they are not all dark though. I was hoping to fanfic a Dueling Spider-Man story after this set but Dark Spiders seem like Dark Spider-Man although not quite Venom.

Kotori - 2009/06/17 10:50 - link

Good Set!!

Yes all the Earthbound Gods r released..Also, nw Ritual monsters make a comeback to this set...
Good supporting cards for Ludger, Misty and Carly cards (despite Reptiless Servant and Guardna is unconfirmed to be in here)..Very worth it to have this set.. I definitely gonna get a box of this set.

Maybe Fortune Ladies will rule the metagame nxt to Black Feathers? I believe it will due to the good effects and the ability to swarm o.o

Fossil Fusion (guest) - 2009/06/17 11:06 - link

YES more Reptiless monsters! I guess no Sad Stories but oh well. :) yay Im liking there images hope their effects are good too though :D. Savage Coloseum <3

I was shocked to see Rudger's Spiders in here tbh.
But cool!!!!!!!!!!

DarkSigner (guest) - 2009/06/17 14:20 - link

This set is incredible so far! I cannot beleive Konami finally supports anime types.Definitely huge improvement after GX era.
Dark Signers get their support and I hope there will be more space for Godwin's Inca Monsters and Reptiless Servant and Gardna.Reptiless Medusa has great effect and it may be used outside of it's theme.Reptiless Synchro works well in synergy with Reptiless theme and gives them drawing boost.Reptiless got their own Tuner too.Very playable theme.
Fortune Ladies got hige boost by improving of their effects and they get another key cards, Twisted Fate adn Prophecy Of The Future King along with new cards, Time Passage and Fortune Future and we need to know about their effects altough they may be good Fortune Lady support.
Rudger gets new Spiders! Alongside Dark Spider and Ground Spider ( which appeared only in anime) we get non-anime support. It makes Insects more playable, depending on their effects.Spider Egg is confirmed too along with Field Spell, and new Spiders may have effects connected to controlling of monsters.
Infernites also may get a good boost. And Rituals aren't forgotten by Konami! :) More good support for Rituals and Ritual Monster/Ritual searcher card ( Preparation For Ritual).Maybe return of Demise decks?
Set is very good , just little more till we reveal more about it.

Stardust Overdrive- OCG Update: June 17, 2009-July 15, 2009

As unexpected, Konami really threw some curveballs this set around.

First and foremost, Rudger's Dark Spider (whose effect should be assumed to be its anime effect) and Ground Spider have been released into the OCG. Then, they gave the guy three other Spider monsters (not including Uru). Assuming the effect(s) of Dark Spider, Spider Web, and Spider Egg are consistent with the anime, Spider monsters would probably focus on Defense and Advance/Synchro Summonings (just like the anime).

Then, it seems Misty's Reptiless deck won't be limited to just 3 cards- Gorgon, Gardna, and Servant (still they haven't released the latter two). They have given her at least four Reptiless monsters to work with- a Synchro Monster, a Tuner monster with 0 ATK/DEF, a Level 6 monster, and an average Level 4 monster. Their effects are somewhat consistent with the effects of certain Alien monsters, with the exception that it now focuses on "monsters with 0 ATK" rather than "monsters with A-Counters."
Believe me this is not a new concept- they have fully released Amon's Cloudian monsters in Gladiator's Assault where in the anime he barely used five of them. In addition, it seems the two equip spells- Molting Escape and Attack Pheromone- as well as Savage Colosseum are released for the OCG. Savage Colosseum has the same effect as in the anime, with the exception that monsters you control that do not attack are destroyed during the End Phase.

The Fortune Ladies have more spell and trap card support. Since their effects are unknown as of now, I'll go by their anime effects. Twisted Fate (Twist of Fate) is the Fortune Lady version of Forced Back. Prophecy of the Future King, while does not directly correlate to the Fortune Ladies (in the anime, can work for any spellcaster type monster), is a useful card since spellcasters (including the Fortune Ladies if their Levels are high enough) have high ATK. Fortune Inherit allows the player to special summon up to 2 Fortune Ladies from their hand during their next turn when a Fortune Lady on the field is destroyed. Finally, there are two OCG spell support cards, Fortune Future and Time Passage. I can assume Time Passage is a Fortune Lady card, but chances are it might very well be not.

The most inducing (and unexpected) part of the set would be the reintroduction of the Ritual gameplay mechanic. While Shadows of Infinity and Strike of Neos had done the same in their time by introducing several Ritual monsters with powerful effects, or finding ways to summon Ritual monsters easier, Stardust Overdrive takes it the next step further.
First off would be Ritual of Salvation (in my opinion, the Ritual version of Dark Fusion). The ritual spell itself can only be used or Norswemko, Beautiful Goddess of Salvation as opposed to Fiend-type Fusion monsters from Dark Fusion. Their effect is generally the same, during the turn it protects that Ritual monster from card effects (except Ritual of Salvation requires it to be removed from the Graveyard from play while Dark Fusion's effect is automatic). The ritual monster itself is a Level 7 monster and has 1200 DEF; its effect allows you to protect a number of cards on the field equal to the number of ritual monsters used to summon it from card effects?
Preparations of the Ritual is one of the BEST cards Konami could have come up with for this mechanic, assuming that the effect is 100% confirmed. It allows you to add a Level 7 or lower Ritual monster from your Deck to your Hand (at this time, there are very few ways to bring Ritual monsters to the Hand) and then add "a" Ritual Spell from the Graveyard to your Hand. This is good for Ritual decks that run on more than one of a Ritual monster.
The newest OCG archetype are the "Ritual Devils," whose effects are either activated when they were used for Ritual summons OR make it easier to Ritual summon. Greseider "powers up" ritual monsters. Releaser allows it to be removed from the graveyard to treat its level as one of the monster's levels needed for the summon AND prevent the opponent from special summoning as long as that ritual monster is in play. A trap card, Ritual Buster, prevents the opponent from activating spell/trap cards when you Ritual summon?

Also, as expected, there are plenty of Dual monsters in this set. Crusader of Endymion is set to work with the Endymion field spell and Endymion himself (Spell Counter effect?) Tuned Magician is a Dual monster whose effect will probably correlate with Synchro summons. Archer of the Sea of Trees and Energy Brave can be assumed to be Dual monsters for now. Finally, Crimson Demon Fighter, while not a Dual monster in itself, is mostly designed to work with this archetype (or just plain Vanilla Decks). It has a pseudo-DAD summoning requirement and can special summon a Level 4 or lower Normal monster from your Graveyard on the field (again, either a Dual monster or just plain vanilla).

EDIT: Uru is the 25th card of the set and has the same effect as in the anime. Crusader of Endymion can place a Spell Counter on a card that can have Spell Counter(s) on it once per turn. It also gains an unidentified amount of ATK. Tuned Magician can also be treated as a Tuner monster when Second Summoned. The Ritual Devils can be removed from the Graveyard and have their levels count for the Ritual Summon. Greseider's effect allows the player to draw a card when the Ritual monster destroys a monster in battle. Attack Pheromone is a Continuous spell card instead of being an Equip Spell, and its effect only works for Reptiles. Indestructible True Strength is the Dual version of Call of the Mummy. As for all of the other cards, they have the same effect as in the anime.

EDIT2:
The Spider monster(s) are generally focused on switching the opponent's monsters into Defense Position, or having effect(s) that activate when those card(s) are in Defense. Sacrifice Spider can release itself when there are at least 4 other insect monsters in the Graveyard to destroy all face-up Defense Position monsters your opponent controls. Spider Spider can special summon a Level 4 or lower insect monster when it destroys a Defense Position monster. Mother Spider can special summon itself by releasing 2 Defense Position monsters. So otherwise abuse Spider Web, Zero Gravity, No Entry!, basically any card that switches the opponent's monsters into Defense Mode.

Archer of the Sea of Trees is a nomi monster that can be Special Summoned when there are 2 or more Normal monsters in the Graveyard. Even with a Normal Deck, I probably would not run it, since it is an effect monster and its stats are fairly low. The only benefit it may have is adding a Dual monster from the Deck to your Hand (but there are other and more conventional methods of doing so than to use this card). Similarly, Energy Brave prevents Second Summoned Dual monsters from being destroyed by card effect(s).

According to the card set information, Black Feather- Silver Wind the Isolated (Lone Silver Wind), is card 41 (after Savior Star Dragon). This means Savior Demon Dragon will not be released in this set. It is quite possible for it to be card 44 and 45, but since Jack's cards typically come before Crow's cards in any given 5D's set, it is highly unlikely.
Black Feather- Lone Silver Wind requires 1 Black Feather tuner and 2 or more non-tuner monsters. Its effect remains constant as in the anime (destroying up to 2 face-up monsters on the field whose DEF is lower than the ATK of this card), but it prevents the Battle Phase. I'm a bit mixed about it, since Black Feather card(s) usually activate during the Battle Phase (namely Armored Wing and Arms Wing). Its second effect prevents a Black Feather from being destroyed from battle once per turn. This is good if you have a lot of low-ATK Black Feathers (such as Mistral or Foehn), but you're probably going to use up your entire field summoning this card anyway so...

The 46th card, after Spider Web Field (Rudger's card), suggests that it might be another Rudger spell card. The only card(s) it could possibly be are Destiny Trigger or Earthbound Whirlwind. Since there is a favorable amount of Earthbound support in the anime, I would typically say the latter. It has been later confirmed that Earthbound Whirlwind is the 46th card in the set, according to the recent updated card lists.

The two "Fortune Lady" support cards, Fortune Future and Time Passage, only work for the afformented archetype. The first one returns a Fortune Lady removed from play back to the Graveyard and draws 2 cards. The second is a quick-play spell that increases the level of a Fortune Lady by 2, which will increase its ATK power from 400 to 800, during the opponent's turn. Earthy's effect also allows you to deal a small amount of damage doing so.

Insect Divine Protection allows the removal of Insect monsters in the Graveyard to negate the attack of an opponent's monster. A good card for Doom Dozer Decks, if you can return them to the Graveyard, of course. Dual Booster is a trap card that can equip itself to a Dual monster and increase its ATK by 700 (this is good since Dual monsters typically have low ATK). When this card is destroyed, you can Second Summon a face-up Dual monster on the field.

Infernity Force has the same effect as in the anime. In my opinion, they should give the Infernity cards some support on having and maintaining a 0 hand. They have given the other Dark Signers (minus Demak, who has only Cusillu released) plenty of support cards for their respective archetypes.

EDIT3:
According to some posts, the set was released FOUR days in Signapore before it even came out in Japan. First, the anime cards. Max Warrior is now the 3rd card in the set instead of the 4th. Now the 4th card in the set is Quick Synchron (someone already predicted it would be). It has the same effect as in the anime, except that it can ONLY be used for the Synchro Summon of a monster that lists "Synchron" as the Tuner monster. Hence, the Warriors and possibly JA. Level Stealer and Zero Gardna are cards 5 and 6, respectively, and they have the same effects as in the anime. However, Level Stealer can only be released by Advance Summon. In addition, Ruka's Regulus (which she didn't even use) is the 7th card [no Jack or Aki cards in this set :(] Infernity Necromancer is the 8th card and there is no mention of Infernity Salamander here.

The next two cards, after the Fortune Ladies, is Solitaire Magicial? Its effect decreases the level (and ATK) of any given Fortune Lady on the field to destroy a monster on the field. This card SHOULD be paired with Time Passage, as it will increase the Level (and ATK) of that Fortune Lady by 2, meaning it will be almost as powerful as before, and you can use the effect again. The other card removes monsters with ? ATK (while this can be ANY monster with ? ATK, it's best to use it with Fortune Ladies) in the Graveyard from the game to destroy Special Summoned monsters while this card is on the field. This card definitely helps with Fortune Future- drawing 2 cards and placing the removed Fortune Lady in the Graveyard will enable the use of this effect again.

Now, the OCG monster cards. The first (new) one is yet another Frog- Ogre Frog. Its effect discards Level 2 WATER monsters [Frogs] from your hand to special summon it. Its effect sends a Level 2 WA... er, Frog, from your Deck or Field to the Graveyard when summoned in any way. It can return any Frog, including itself, allowing you to Normal Summon an additional "Frog" monster from your Hand. This can only work when Ogre Frog is returned to the hand.
OK, so we have yet ANOTHER Gradius monster. It has the same stats as any other Gradius, but it has three different effects. It has low ATK, so you might as well pair it up with other Gradius-themed and LIGHT cards. There are two other cards- #27 and #28 are both "Core-Chimail" monsters, focusing on card effects. The latter one is good since it requires one release and can destroy up to 2 cards your opponent controls.
Card #36 is a Level 3 WATER Reptile monster with 1400 ATK, otherwise known as Orshaleon. As long as it is a face-up Attack position monster, ONLY it can be attacked. When this card is destroyed in battle, you can add one Reptile monster with 500 or less ATK from your Deck to your Hand.

There are two "OCG-only" Synchros in this set- the first one is a Synchro that works with Dual monsters. It is a Level 8 Dragon-Type Synchro monster. It requires one Tuner monster and at least 1 non-tuner Dual monster (this should apply to ANY Dual monster, even if it wasn't Second Summoned). Its effect discards a Dual monster from your Hand to destroy "a" Spell or Trap Card (there is no restriction if it is face-up or face-down) and destroy it. And when it is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard, you can Special Summon a Dual monster in your Graveyard. It is automatically Special Summoned. Good card.
The second card is a Spellcaster synchro which is designed to work with the Endymion structure as well as Crusader of Endymion. It requires only Spellcasters to be used as the non-Tuner monsters. It has 2500 ATK (somewhat decent for a Level 6 Synchro), and its effect naturally revolves around removing Spell Counters. You can destroy "a" Spell or Trap (again, no restriction) your opponent controls by removing 2 of them. This is not a "once per turn" effect either, meaning that if you have ANY cards on the field with Spell Counters (and not just this card), you can use this effect as many times as possible.

Now the anime Spell and Traps.
The first one is Reptiless Spawn (the one that tributes a Reptiless monster on the field to summon 2 Reptiless Tokens, according to the anime effect). The second one is Yusei's Synchro Barrier (releasing a Synchro monster to take NO damage, regardless of battle or effect damage, during the turn). The third is Rudger's Gr(a/ou)nd Wave- basically it is a "jammer" card that activates when a Field Spell AND Earthbound God is on your field is activated, preventing the opponent from destroying it (and the Earthbound God). The fourth is Rudger's Roar of the Earthbound God. Naturally, its anime effect destroys a monster your opponent controls that attacks while you control an Earthbound God (most likely direct attacks), and deal damage equal to half of its ATK to the opponent. This can only be used once per turn. There is a card known as Impulse of Limit (Kiryu's card- discards 2 cards from your Hand to summon 2 Soul tokens

Now the OCG Spell and Traps. Card 53 is an Equip Spell card known as Steel Core Harvest. It can only equip to a Core Chimail monster- this card enables Core Chimail to survive at least one more turn on the field. Also, you can decrease the ATK of an opponent's monster by 300-700 during the Damage Step. Card 55 is Dual Spark- by releasing a Level 4 or lower Dual monster you control (I suggest a monster whose dual effect has activated and it can only activate once- Dark Valkyria). You can select any card on the field, destroy it, and draw 1 card. It is a quick-play spell too, so it can activate on your opponent's turn if set.
Card 59 is yet another continuous spell- this time Spiritual Forest. Once per turn, Plant, Beast, or a Beast-Warrior monster on your field will not be destroyed in battle once and once per turn. Type coverage is good. Card 60 is Crazy Plant Food- it is sorta the Limiter Removal for plants, except that it increases the ATK of the plants by 300 for every plant in your Graveyard. This is a good card, since most plants have low ATK strengths. Card 62, Tribute to the Devil, releases a Special Summoned monster you control to Special Summon a Level 4 Normal monster from your Hand (ok...).
Card 74 is a Core Chimail couner trap which negates an effect monster's effect as long as you control a Core Chimail monster and have a Steel Core spell card in your Graveyard. Card 75 is a Dual counter trap card to set the Dual monster face-down. Card 79, Seal of Crushing Evil, negates the effect of one monster on your opponent's field when it is activated during each of your opponent's Standby Phases. There is a 500 LP cost for this card though. Card 80 in this set, Crimson Desginator, has a 2000 LP cost (not again...) and revealing your hand to the opponent. You select 1 card in your opponent's hand and remove it from the game until their next End Phase. Where's the tradeoff- none? The last card in this set sucks.

Dark Synchro

So did you manage to fish up something in regards to dark synchro? Is it a mechanic they will start with or not? I like the fact that the mechanic is more difficult to pull of then the normal synchro - it makes it more fun!

Hoping they will include dark synchro!
SynjoDeonecros - 2009/06/17 18:26 - link

Ritual support. I'll admit, I didn't see that coming. Still no significant Beast/Beast-Warrior support, yet, or decent Normal Support, and the set's almost done, it looks like, so I doubt we'll get any.

An Onyx Mouse - 2009/06/18 08:07 - link

Thought I'd never see more Ritual Support...

I'm hoping that's not all that's included in the set. I'd love to see another Ritual Monster or 2 in there, with their own Ritual Spells that have extra effects like Ritual of Salvation's, or maybe their own version of Solemn Judgment (Discard a Ritual Spell Card to negate a Summon or card effect, something like that).

Even if they don't, however, I'm still digging the love Konami's giving to my first YGO hook.

Kuriboh (guest) - 2009/06/18 18:51 - link

Nice

Fvckin amazing booster
Insect archetype
Reptil archetype
Ritual suport
Gemini suport
Fortune ladies suport

That's great and those cards have good potential

DarkSigner (guest) - 2009/06/18 19:49 - link

They changed effect of Spider Web excluding the Insect immunity on it part. Still can annoy opponent a lot. Spider Spider and Mother Spider have really good effects, Sacrifice Spider is more tricky to use.Dark Spider and Ground Spider need ther combos altough thy can work with Howling Insect.
Is Spider support we got really good? Is there really plenty use for them , not only use with Spider Web?

SynjoDeonecros (guest) - 2009/06/21 19:58 - link

Woodland Archer I don't think I like. A level 3 Nomi with that low of stats I can forgive, ONLY if it had a potentially devastating effect like Fenrir's, but all it is is a tutor for Gemini monsters. What the hell? We get all of these good Gemini monsters that we can actually use, but when it comes to support, we're getting the shaft. That's not right, people, that's not right at all. The ONLY saving grace Archer has going for it is that it's easy to get 2 or more Normal monsters in the graveyard, and you don't have to mess with them to summon it, but still, making it a NOMI is moronic. And to add insult to injury, it's a Beast-Warrior; what's Konami's hatred for Beast/Beast-Warriors and giving them good support?

SynjoDeonecros (guest) - 2009/06/22 17:54 - link

Read Shriek's notes, idiot; Woodland Archer's effect has been confirmed, so I CAN and WILL cry over it. And, considering what I've read of the other cards, thus far, it IS the worst card in the set.

And what's the difference between me crying over the lack of decent Beast/Beast-Warrior support, and everyone else whining over the lack of Thunder or Spellcaster or good Warrior support, huh? NOTHING, that's what. The fact is that Beast/Beast-Warriors are two of the most underdeveloped monster types in the game, and Konami seems to be going out of their way to avoid making them stronger, kinda like how there's not been any decent Thunder or Sea-Serpent support until very recently, and Thunder STILL hasn't gotten any good support. At least the TCG got some semi-decent support in the form of Moja (NOT its support Beast Striker and King of the Beast, but Moja itself) and Berserking, but it's kinda sad when the TCG only gets a couple of decent support cards, and the OCG gets left with nothing until the next Exclusive Pack comes out. You'd be crying, too, if your favorite monster type was getting the shaft in support, and don't try to lie about it, because I know better.

About this set...

Correct me if i am wrong ... but this set seems to be lmore focus on building an archy deck like the deck signers like a spider deck and fortune lady..beside then on Saviour star dragon...what surprise me most was Stardust "Xiao Long" dragon was actually a "Super Rare" ... but anyways thanks for looking at my post ^^... as i said i might be wrong...

TheDarkAngelRocket - 2009/06/24 22:52 - link

Re: Kensei

Don't worry, it could very well be a common if it was released in the second Yusei Duelist Pack. But I do agree, Stardust Xiaolong could have had a better effect (maybe if it was Special Summoned from the Hand or Deck instead of the Graveyard). And not being destroyed in battle once per turn really does not matter since this thing has 100 ATK and DEF.
Ray (guest) - 2009/06/24 12:33 - link

I wonder

Any guesses there will be support for other characters?
I would like to see that deformer trap...remake puzzle, was it?
Some of aki's cards maybe...

And I hope they make a new gladiator beast, i know they have a lot of support already but banning bestiarii didn't help.

how can we make a fast syc Silver WIng if Gale has hit by a banlist or limit list....1 gale is not enought for BF...
Ammeg (guest) - 2009/06/28 07:31 - link

oh sorry i make a cmistake.Silver W is need 2 monsters not one.
by the way anyone has a better way to syn it ?

Saber Gladial is still being play

the restriction helps it actually, since it made room for airbellum
Evil[Angel] (guest) - 2009/06/28 11:17 - link

Thunder types.

Personally i like this set, but i would like to see Dark Synchros in the future, maybe as tin promos, or something, but i would also like to so some Thunder-Type cards, its the least supported type in the entire game.

DTX8 (guest) - 2009/06/28 18:15 - link

I believe Sea Serpents hold that honor :S
SynjoDeonecros (guest) - 2009/06/29 19:20 - link

Not anymore; Sea Serpents have gotten a lot of good monsters in, recently, a lot of which pump up their own type rather well. Thunder and Beast/Beast-Warrior are, currently, the most underdeveloped monster types in the game. I suspect they're going to continue the Beast support in the TCG-only cards, but Konami seems to be shying away from updating those three types to be any good, which is a shame.
ShinobiPhoenix - 2009/07/06 01:14 - link

The most likely place for Thunder to show up...

... is 608, the White Set of Series 6.

While there was a single Thunder in 507 (Phantom Darkness), it was more incidental because it's a mean card, and mean cards go into Black Sets.

Angels and Thunder tend to find home in the 8th Set of a Series (the White Set).

However, I fiercely agree with you that Thunder are very underdeveloped. Batteryman getting to use Thunder support (which is BARELY) doesn't make them Thunder team, just a team that happens to be Thunder.

It's like having a good video game on a console and saying that game improves the console itself and makes the console a better buy (all 3 current-gen consoles have games that fit that description). In reality, you're stuck playing that one game or series of games until you move on.

A lot of GX teams were like that. For there to be improvement, there needs to be more general non-pigeonholed monsters and support cards that improve a Main-Type (Attribute) or Sub-Type without needing to hold to archetype to use them.

Black Feathers monsters (not Support) are decent examples of that.

Demonic Roar Gods improve on Dark World without being Dark World themselves or needing to use "Demonic Roar God" as some binding and they can be used completely out of either.

If I was going to focus on any groups, it would be Thunder first, Beast-Warrior (not Beast), Machine SUPPORT (not monsters, there's still no general machine support except Limiter and UFOroid), and give the 4 Types that lack a 1900 LV 4 drop-and-go attacker at least one.

(Angels, Machines, Sea Serpents and Rocks) Fish get one in Stardust Overdrive-EN as Kevin Tewart himself confirmed.
DarkSigner (guest) - 2009/06/28 21:02 - link

Guys calm down I think gale won't get hit by next banlist, i think that Black Whirlwind will take hit.
BF- Silver Wind got changed . In anime it could destroy 2 monsters with lower ATK than it's own but by skipping Battle Pahse and really, this is quite broken. It's summoning conditions are now much harder BF Tuner + 2 or more Monsters. But without this I think he could be much easier to summon and be free monster destruction what would make it unbalanced.
It is not impossible to Synchro Summon this card, but is much harder. For this card it is good to have low level BFs like Qalat or Foehn.Foehn's effect may not be that great, but it may make Summoning of this card easier.BF Blizzard of Nort Pole is more viable too.
BF - Blizzard of North Pole+ BF Foehn+ BF Lance
BF Blizzard of North Pole - Summon Foehn from Cemetery with North Pole's effect, Special Summon BF Blast of Black Lance and here you have all conditions set for Lone Wind :)

Ancient_Gladiator_Dragon (guest) - 2009/07/25 14:58 - link

It can also be used with rescue cat. With Gale on the field, which many builds are using now, plus rescue cat makes this guy quite easily. Also Vayu that was negated by Shura plus Kulat

So, if this set is supposed to be out by this saturday, why is there not any updates to the list? I hope this isn't all the info we're going to get on the set before its release; I want to find out if there's any decent normal support in this set.

Aimlessly Staring (guest) - 2009/07/13 21:23 - link

Infernity Necromancer serial number is SOVR-JP008 not SOVR-JP0013.
Singapore had Stardust Overdrive set early.

SynjoDeonecros (guest) - 2009/07/14 15:31 - link

if Singapore's already got the set, can you tell me if it has the following:

1. More Normal Monster support (not Gemini support, but strictly Normal Monster support).
2. More Beast/Beast-Warriors.

Thanks.

SynjoDeonecros (guest) - 2009/07/15 00:35 - link

Hmm, only one new Beast monster (which is a shame, but hey, at least we finally got Regulus, which is good), but Tribute to the Devil is just...wow. Nuke a DAD and bring out a Gene-Warped Warwolf, nice. I'm really tempted to add this into my Normal Tiger deck. Can't wait to see what the missing cards are like.
DarkSigner (guest) - 2009/07/14 16:33 - link

Anonymous (guest) - 2009/07/14 16:54 - link

I only bought 2 packs, and the only card not mentioned in shriek's confirmed cardlist is a "Victory Viper XX03" gimmick. Its effect is: When this card destroys an opponent monster by battle, select and activate the following effects. -This card can attack once again. - Destroy 1 card on the field -Special summon a token (Machine/Light/4/1200 ATK/DEF. I'm not sure about what is the main support for this set.
Anonymous (guest) - 2009/07/14 16:59 - link

The above card's code number is SOVR-JP035.
"The Reality of Nonresistance" card is in this set, its code number is SOVR-JP069.
SOVR-JP072
Send 2 cards from your hand to the graveyard. Special summon two tokens (Fiend/Dark/1/0 ATK/DEF) to your side of the field. These tokens can't be used for a release other than an advance summon.
.

Anonymous (guest) - 2009/07/14 17:53 - link

Shriek, The Reality of Nonresistance card is SOVR-JP069 not 068.
SynjoDeonecros (guest) - 2009/07/15 01:08 - link

Wait, so Witch of Catoblepas and Fate literally means you remove a monster from your grave whose ATK is listed as a question mark to activate its effect? That's...bizarre. Obviously, it's supposed to work with the Fortune Ladies, but still, why not say "Remove from play a 'Fortune Lady" monster from your graveyard" instead of "Remove from play a monster with ? ATK from your graveyard"?

TheDarkAngelRocket - 2009/07/15 01:46 - link

Re: SynjoDeonecros

Does it really matter? All of the Fortune Lady monsters have ? ATK, but with "?" ATK, there is much more variety to what you can remove. Also, it is designed to work with Fortune Future- draw 2 cards and placing the Fortune Lady back into the Graveyard to allow its effect to be used again.
Aimlessly Staring (guest) - 2009/07/18 00:14 - link

Because the card also works with Calculator, Tragdoeia, Mazette, and Chimera Overtech, amongst other things

TheDarkAngelRocket - 2009/07/15 07:39 - link

Re: pokekid88

Yes, Stardust Xiaolong is a common. Its effect still sucks, however. It is outmatched in every category (including its three effects). "Special summon from the Graveyard when Stardust Dragon is Synchro Summoned"- Limit Reverse, Angel Lift. "This card cannot be destroyed in battle once per turn."- Gyroid, Dark Resonator, Shield Wing (TWICE per turn). "A Level 1 monster designed to work with Savior Star Dragon-" Oneshot Booster, Tuning Supporter
SynjoDeonecros (guest) - 2009/07/15 20:43 - link

Okay, can someone explain the effect of Spiritual Forest to me? Does it mean that only 1 face-up Plant/Beast/Beast-Warrior monster you control can't be destroyed by battle once per turn, all face-up Plant/Beast/Beast-warrior monsters you control can't be destroyed by battle once per turn, or what?

honky de leon (guest) - 2009/07/16 00:14 - link

hm

it doesn't affect all of your monsters, it only affects 1 monster; and that monster can either be a plant, beast or beast-warrior

sample

if you have say Camellia and Green Baboon on your side of the field, if your opponent has 2 Dark Horuses, your opponent attacks one, either Camellia or Baboon, you can activate Spiritual Forest's effect for the attacked monster not to be destroyed. The next Horus can destroy the same target though

Question about the LP payment for Seal of Crushing Evil: is it like Messenger of Peace, where you don't have to pay if you don't want to, thus letting you nuke the card if you don't need it? Or is it like Destructive Draw, where you MUST pay the LP, and only if you physically cannot pay it is it destroyed by its effect?

its the same as Messenger of Peace

Return of the sacred dragon

stardust savior dragon will be used quite often in a dragon synchro deck but with the UNBEATABLE combo i came up with (after consouling the other judges we agree that stardust and red dragon archfiend savior dragons will be the best cards ever played in a dragon deck only

Draigun (guest) - 2009/07/29 22:23 - link

Your claim to how frequently used Savior Star Dragon will be is varied. While true that it will be best utilized in a Dragon Synchro deck, the notion of it being used "quite often" is premature. Not saying that the card is bad, moreso the setup for summoning it is a lot more fragile than you think...

It negates an effect which is credible and destroys everything on the opponent's field which leaves your setup unharmed. There are many things that can be done to disrupt the attempted Synchro Summon for Savior Star Dragon. Say it does happen, Stardust will likely remove itself from the field and leave behind Savior Dragon and Stardust Xialong in an exposed state until the end of the turn.

Also, I'm not exactly buying your claim to the "unbeatable" combo you came up with as there can be a list of cards that bring disaster to any requiring a setup.
