Genex?

This looks great. I'm lovin the new dragunity archetype. I do have a quick question about the real genex series though. Are they supposed to be just more genex support or are they supposed to be an archetype of their own (kinda like a genex 2.0 series)? Also what are the genex designs based off of? I know that the genex series designs seem to be based of alternate energy sources, but I'm not quite sure at all about the real genex series. Anyway thanks :)

Hmm...

Real Genex is a sub-theme of the Genex theme much like how XX-Sabers are the sub-theme for X-Saber monsters. Support for Genex will work for Real Genex monsters unless they specify "Real Genex" in the card effects.

The theme is sort of like the E-Heroes of synchros with their mix elements and synchros involving specific attributes. Unfortunately, unlike E-Heroes its rather hard to sync for their particular synchros. Otherwise, the deck has some good hand management and with the addition of these monsters have capable field swarming capabilities. The theme has some good atk/def level 4 monsters so they carry good field presence.

The Dragunity theme has an interesting gimmick to them but overall the bird-type monsters hold the theme back as they have sub-par effects at best. Unfortunately, you'll need them to sync for their synchro monsters but they don't appear to be worth the trouble. The level 2 tuner works incredibly well within a cyberdark deck but trying to form synergies between machines and dragons is a bit awkward. A deck with these will probably focus on fast synchros with recyclable monsters/tuners with cards like junk synchron or that machine tuner that SS's 1 level 4 dark machine monster from your grave.

Worms are garbage and will never see competitive play. There's no way to survive long enough with them with the current metagame.

Genex Controller is easy to search for and Instant Fusion can help with the specific needs to the Genex synchros, so it is not as hard as you put it. And there's enough monsters that can be play in the deck that are easily special summon-able on their own, like Tricky.

Dragonunity and Cyber Dark actually work better than most ppl believe, I actually do have a decklist that's being playtest right now and is going through its third version (the first two works okay, still need to finalize some tweak) although a Dragonunity and BF works okay, but it's definitely not the best way to go.
