- Until recently Structure Decks have been limited to only utilises either Attribute or Type, the new deck consists of theme and strategy.
- Focuses on the Emperor monster and includes a new Emperor monster as new card.
- With existing cards of different types combined, the construction of the "Emperor Deck" is possible.

It seems unlikely that they would do that, but it would be a good idea if they were to come up with some sort of ultimate monarch, and they would have to be daft to make one that requires you tribute 2/3 monarchs to summon it. I hope that should they release a DARK monarch it isnt the most powerful/ultimate monarch, I rather like the idea of them all being equal in stats.

Im also hoping that this one'll be better then the Revival of Dragons SD or whatever it was called. That one was abit of a let down, it had pretty much no revival theme, no dragon theme, and waaay too many tribute monsters.

Increase the ATK strength of this card by 800 points for each "Homunculus Token" on the field. When this card is destroyed, destroy all "Homunculus Tokens".

And all the Monarchs (at the time) were Level 5+...Zaborg, Mobius, Thestalos, and Granmarg (Raiza, of course, not being out).

You guys are only claiming that SD13's revival theme was a let-down 'cause you didn't get all of the horribly broken cards that would make Dragon-Types insane like you wanted.

Dark Blaze Dragon was a fun card, and Decoy Dragon is nasty when one can actually be bothered to think of how to use it properly.

Besides, who cares about the Deck's theme? I mean, who actually buys these Decks for their themes? Don't we just buy them for the re-prints nowadays? I could do with a copy of Zaborg, as I wanna' build some sort of Thunder Deck, and perhaps we'll see a re-print of Devil's Sanctuary, :3

No, not really

SD 13 was a big letdown because it had no revival theme. I had monsters like Majestic Mech Goryu, and Tyrant Dragon, who's effects have nothing to do wih revival. Tryant Dragon even takes a tribute to be summoned from the grave! It had no dragon theme, and the revival theme was minimal. Thats why it was a letdown. Also, the reason that I buy structure decks is for the theme, not the reprints.

Well, by the looks of things this deck will be focusing on monsters that specialise on recurring from the RFG pile (D.D. Scout Plane, D.D. Survivor) to generate tributes.

I thinks it's safe to say the DARK Monarch will have a Remove from Game effect.

The Different Dimension Revival is a card I've been waiting for for a while. About time we had a way of revival from the RFG zone that didn't end up with a swarm (Dimension Fusion, RFTDD), needed a monster with a specific discard cost (D.D. Master),an unrealistic requirement (Dimension Distortion) or is Type-Specific (Release from Rock/Miraculous Descent).

Pity the cost is a Discard. Would have preferred 800LP :P

The first thing that comes to mind when thinking about the new Emperor/Monarch, is to remove Necroface from your side of the field for Deck Destruction and Burn Damage, or the usual just to move a great nuances from your opponent's field

this is only another prove that the TCG of yugi-oh! has better options for al players,
if someone has problems with the lenguage, they can search in helpful pages like this one (a very good page) to know the effects of the cards, seriusly japan introduce a hole new oportunities of new strategies! Shriek.twoday.net should think about have japanese cards for sale for ones like us who looks for another world, by the way this deck like the light and dark wont go out in USA, jaja eat that upper deck!

Why do they made this deck??? Nobody really likes to encounter them. Our tournaments are ruined by guys with monarch decks...
Have some fun with the game and base yourself on something.

And the people who think SD13 wasn't good, they should start and learn to master those cards. When you play them right, that deck is unbeatable...

i know what will happen, the sellers will benefit from our buys and after every single person have a monarch deck, they will be BANNED

Monarchs will not get banned.

Monarchs are good but they are still only 1-1s if they limited every monarch then this would not allow ppl 2 abuse the 3 Raizas and 3 Zaborgs that they do right now, instead it would force monarch users 2 run a variety of the monarchs which will leave them w/ 5 monarchs(soon 2 be 6) which will the dek 2 function yet not be broke as fuck.

seriously, if it ends up like the dark/light SDs and dont come over seas, except by secret reares, ill be pissed.
seriously- this seems to be the best sd, like, ever. i can finally get all the monarchs (dont have enough $$$ to buy a play set of raizas for 60$), plus a bunch of DD support...which ive allways wanted to base a deck around.

-but ill be REALY REALY REALY p-o'ed if they make the dark monarch a secret or something in phantom darkness....which seems like just the $i-i!+ that ude would do....
but if it does come over...ill pre-order, like, 5. seriously.

ps- i liked the last s-d. sure it coulda' been better, but foolish burial is awsome. so awsome i bought 3, and will buy more...

I don't think they'll make a secret of it. They paid the price with SD11 + 12.
They didn't make secrets for SD13, and we still got it. I highly doubt they'd do it again. Besides, they make more than enough for Phantom Darkness!!!!! *Very Angry*

I think this is the best SD .But if this deck comes in TCG it will be edited . UDE never gonna let cards like Shrink and all monarchs to be commons in a structure deck for 10 euros. THey now get our anger on them because they dont release light and dark structure decks, maybe they dont gonna make this mistake again . It will be perfect if the deck comes out in the TCG i wait it with impatience :)

Now that it's out...

This deck's key cards are cheap. To balance it out, the rest sucks. Nonetheless, this and Phantom Darkness' removal support make Dark monsters the king of the environment for good. And for a relatively cheap cost you can get cards bypass or overpower just about every threat in today's metagame. I mean, they're cool and all, but they're like the old packs where BEWD came out. Nonetheless, the game's getting interesting.

about the monarchs getting banned...

I think this is not gonna happen, but the monarchs are used way to much
and almost every duelist has a monarch deck with 3 cyber dragons
and it's getting kinda boring.
but, with the monarchs getting banned most of the duelists would use cyber dragon deck
(wich already almost a staple), or, D.D. decks or return from a different dimension/
dimension fusion OTK's.

also is good to remember what happened to the chaos decks, of course the monarch decks aren't so powerful, but they can get banned or at leat raiza and zaborg can get limited

Zaborg isn't as powerful as the other Monarch's, IMO. Killing one monster is one thing, destroying up to two spells/traps is another (Mobius). Plus, the effect for Zaborg is a must, but you have a choice for Mobius.

Plus, from Konami's point of view, setting the Monarch's legal status to limited is not good for business... is it?
The next banned list update is coming next March, and it won't be smart for Konami to change the legal state of the "main cards" in a structure deck that was only released three months prior.

Monarchs are good cards and creating a monarch deck is an excellent ideal. But I kindda not like this structure deck. Monarchs effect are basicly effect that destroy your opponent's cards. This deck is more like remove from play. Would it not make more since to make a monarch deck with monarch related cards based on the destruction of your opponent's and over welming them with summoning monster to sacifice for the monarchs? You know what I mean?
