VJMP-JP025
Chimeratech Fortress Dragon 「キメラテック・フォートレス・ドラゴン」
DARK/Machine - Fusion - Effect/8/0/0
"Cyber Dragon" + 1 or more Machine-Type monster
This card cannot be used as a Fusion-Material Monster. This card cannot be Special Summoned from the fusion deck except by sending the above mentioned cards from the field to the Graveyard. (The Magic card "Fusion" is not used). The original ATK of this card becomes the number of Fusion-Material Monsters used x 1000.
Ultra Rare

Somewhat Lacking...

Is that it? XD

Aricalypse - 2007/07/20 13:49

WTF? Evolution of CTOD???

What the hell this card? It looks like Photo Laser Dragon fused with Chimeratech Overdragon. I think, his effect likes Chimeratech. plus something...

Junsei - 2007/07/22 23:03

Opposite of CTOD

I think that it's effect might be like, "when this card is summoned, destroy all other cards on your field. This card's DEF is equal to the number of machines used to summon this x800" maybe something like that, but not too sure
ElementD - 2007/07/23 19:05

Thinking the same thing

I was thinking the same thing. Except I dunno about the destroy all other cards on the field part. Its hard to tell, but I think I can faintly make out an ATK of 0 according to the picture on the left. But if it does then it must get more DEF then just x800. Also Chimeratech gains 800 DEF for each monster used to fusion summon it, so you could just summon Chimeratech who has high DEF and ATK instead. I'm guessing it gains 1000 def for each monster used to summon it or something

HalfDemonInuyasha - 2007/08/03 06:14

Meh

It's ok. It seems mostly like a "toned down" Chimeratech Over Dragon overall. Not nearly as high an ATK strength as you could make a Chimeratech (max of 5000 through its own Special Summoning), still a Nomi, and such.

Overall, it's mostly, like Chimeratech Over Dragon, just a beatstick finisher monster for Machine Decks (most of which use Cyber Dragon, lol)

GUN - 2007/08/03 20:37

pretty cool

if you dont have a fusion card by the hand, you cant use this
awesome

ElementD - 2007/08/06 18:03

Chimeratech OTK

Theres the Future Fusion + Overload Fusion Chimeratech OTK option too, since you can select to summon Chimeratech with Future Fusion and send every last machine monster in your deck to the grave with future fusion, then activate Overload fusion to fuse all of your machines in the grave for a monster with ATK somewhere around 16,000 ATK. Heavy storm to clear out your opponents possible mirror forces/sakretsu armors and as long as they have a monster in ATK position its game.

HalfDemonInuyasha - 2007/08/07 05:52

reply

That only works with Chimeratech OVER Dragon...

This is Chimeratech FORTRESS Dragon with an entirely different effect. You cannot Special Summoned except by sending 1 Cyber Dragon + 1+ Machine-Type monsters on the field to the Graveyard...you can't use Future Fusion or Overload Fusion for this one...

At least the fact that it can use Cyber Dragon + Machines from BOTH sides of the field GREATLY increases its overall usage.
