ZodyZappa (guest) - 2012/07/14 21:52

Ooooooooohhhhhhhhh plz Konami, PLZ!

Do not nerf the Win Condition from Destiny Leo NOR take the Win Condition away. PLZ PLZ PLZ PLZ PLZ PLZ D'X<

thisnevermatters (guest) - 2012/07/15 02:42

Because I'm sure that Konami frequents Shriek's site, and will totally not nerf it because someone that types like underageb& begged them not to do it.
ZONE (guest) - 2012/07/15 05:48

Not bad

I wonder how they will nerf Number 88, the trio master of gimmick puppet?

zero (guest) - 2012/07/15 13:14

Number 69...

lul, it's going to be epic. I really want to know what it is though, seriously.

peter (guest) - 2012/07/18 17:37

number 69

number 69 has been shown to have its effect on Monday when it was shown in Japan however it remains to be seen whether this card will keep its anime effect or whether the effect is altered for the ocg.
Akuma (guest) - 2012/07/18 21:54

Yay ! Another win condition.

ZodyZappa (guest) - 2012/07/18 22:45

Oh thank god. They didn't take away the wind condition nor nerfed it badly 8D
KirbyEfe (guest) - 2012/07/19 04:20

lol 69

giga137 (guest) - 2012/07/19 08:06

No. 88

the win condition is still there, awesome.

An Onyx Mouse - 2012/07/19 08:26

Who in their right mind would use No.88?

Problem 1) It'd be quicker and easier to win by just blasting your opponent with the 3 Lv 8 monsters you used.

Problem 2) Since you can't have anything in your back row to use its effect, you're leaving yourself wide open for 3 whole turns.

But the biggest by far...

Problem 3) The last line of text: "Its -controller- wins the Duel."

You activate its effect the third time. I chain Enemy Controller, sacrificing whatever. You can't stop it because you have no back row. I take No.88, its effect resolves and gains in the third Destiny Counter. As its controller at the time the effect resolves, I win.

Your opponent can literally just sit back, do nothing for three turns, and steal your victory right out from under you.

Zzxiaoboizz (guest) - 2012/07/19 10:35

Dun forget u can just wait 2 turns and mindcontrol for the win
Akuma (guest) - 2012/07/19 12:53

It's not really a problem, I would rofl so hard if it happened against me.
HalfDemonInuyasha - 2012/07/20 04:02

reply

Or use it alongside Perfect Declarer/"Herald of Perfection" and laugh at their attempts.

Trickier would be to use The Devil's Avatar with it to lock out your opponent's m/t for the last 2 turns, leaving just Effect Monsters to look for.
Peter (guest) - 2012/07/20 17:45

problems with no 88 destiny leo

Don't forget that in order to use the effect of this number you will have to have no spell and trap cards in your zone at the time and being unable to attack means you are giving three turns for your opponent to counter whilst you are being careful to limit the number of spell and trap cards you place to guarantee their usage to counter an opponent as well as having back up cards so that if it is your turn and you have cards in your s/t zone that you can destroy them yourself. I don't know it seems like a lot of work for a card where you can win normally through easier means.
Spicer (guest) - 2012/07/19 09:49

yes!

Please let No.69 be TCG exclusive. GraveKeeper's will be trolling with this card, Anti meta for the anti meta.

An Onyx Mouse - 2012/08/05 07:46

Sorry to burst your bubble, Spicer, but the kana on No. 69's clear as day to see...plus, it'd be rather pointless to showcase it on an OCG news page if it were a TCG exclusive.
KarakuriSoldierMdl216 - 2012/07/19 19:43

@Spicer:

What? TCG exclusives are not initially printed in/as a/an OCG booster pack, special promo, dt set, premium pack. They are printed in TCG sets or as TCG promo cards go study some more

Sandara (guest) - 2012/07/20 16:30

Shitles

Konami, PLZ .... i wish ..... XYZ DISCORD! lul

Solaris (guest) - 2012/07/21 00:51

Free activation?

No. 69 does not need to remove Xyz Materials to activate his eff. Well, that new.

Hairo (guest) - 2012/07/21 09:02

The Forbidden Brigade (Specially the new one, Garment) seems like the way to go for protecting Destiny Leo. You use the effect, set the spells. If needed, play them, If not, play them on your draw anyway.

Brian (guest) - 2012/07/21 16:01

Shit LEO

Leo is shit now. Why the fuck nerf a card that require so much setup and can be easily destroyed.

Dark Highlander (guest) - 2012/07/21 16:18

well

because it's fun for them to seeing and making players angry. He's hard to setup, but with it's original effect he might be probably broken in a near future, so they wattered down the effect to reduce it's impact on the game, just remember of rescue cat: a non-usable card that became a terrifying monster that is banned and will never got unbanned. aside of that, it was lame what they did to the effect
Mido9 (guest) - 2012/07/21 16:42

Why nerf balanced cards Konami ?

Leo is shit what's the deal with Konami making shit cards all of a sudden. Leo even if you get it out is still susceptible to torrential tribute, mirror force, and what not. Not to mention your opponent could just effect veiler its ass and remove all its counters, or enemy controller/mind control its ass and win with it. Konami does not know what they are doing with this game.

Somebody?! (guest) - 2012/07/21 17:08

For all those wondering why they nerfed Destiny Leo: There's this card known as Oni-Gami Combo, which detaches all Xyz Materials from a monster to allow it to attack twice(?) in that turn's Battle Phase. Or, in the case of Leo, win the duel since it has no material. This monster can also, although it might not look like it, be fairly easily summoned in a variety of ways that all include Galaxy Queen's Light, the most potent of which I can think of atm being Geargias + Clockwork Skikigami (it's 8 isn't it?). Although I have to agree Konami have gone far too overboard nerfing-wise. A simple way to nerf it without all the rediculous restrictions is thus: "If this card has no Xyz Materials, and all of those Xyz Materials were removed from this card with this card's efect, you win the duel."

DragonXDoom (guest) - 2012/07/30 14:13

Or you could read the card.

If you do, you can clearly see that it requires 3 Destiny Counters to be able to win the duel.
boobytrap (guest) - 2012/07/22 18:43

hm

since konami did many broken cards during yugioh history, they are trying to slow down the game, but they are doing that in the wrong way. they must create resistance for decks, because they just create monsters that can be special summoned, and with them the player special summon a monster strong enough to win the game. the game lost it's tech, and that's what konami must repair. if they create general support cards, the game will have more technique. surely i'm not saying that monsters must be weak for that, they must be strong, but not broken like chaos emperor dragon or thousand-eyes restrict. just saying: support cards aren't ultimately broken cards like a trap version of raigeki (with the original effect), or a spell version of last turn(with the same effect), but well balanced cards. well balanced cards aren't nerfed cards like a wattered down lv 12 version of kuriboh, but cards like solemn warning, bottomless trap hole, mystical space typhoon, pot of duality, etc, general support.
